Heidi Klum breaks her silence after split with Seal

(CBS) Heidi Klum has remained quiet since she and Seal announced their separation last week, but she has now broken her silence with a tweet.

"Hi everyone, I want to thank u for all your support & kind words," Klum tweeted on Tuesday. "[It] really means so much. Thanks again...to the best fans in the world! xoHeidi."

Since the separation Seal has given several interviews. The 48-year-old singer told Ellen DeGeneres, "She has given me four incredible gifts - four beautiful children. She still, in my opinion, is the most wonderful woman in the world."

The two decided to part ways "after much soul-searching," they told People in a statement. "We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart."

Klum and Seal married in 2005 and have four children: Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.
