Kristin Cavallari pregnant, engaged to Jay Cutler

(CBS) Despite breaking off their engagement in July, Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler have reconciled and now the couple has announced they are expecting their first child.

Cavallari and the Chicago Bears quarterback got engaged for a second time in November.

"It's an amazing time in our life and we can't wait to meet the new addition to our growing family," they told People magazine.

The 25-year-old "Hills" star and 28-year-old Cutler started dating in the fall of 2010. They announced their engagement in April, but split in July. Reports at the time said that Culter was the one who broke things off.

"Sometimes, in order for things to get better, they have to end - even if it's momentarily," Cavallari told People.
