Betty White: A role model for retirement-age Americans?

(CBS) Betty White turns a golden 90 years old today (Jan. 17) and the woman probably has more energy that some people you know. With her recurring roles on "Hot in Cleveland" and the newly-launched series, "Off Their Rockers," she's clearly far from quitting show business.

Which begs the question: Is the former "Golden Girl" a role model for people of retiring age?

A new study, compiled by The Hartford and MIT AgeLab, suggests that White just may be the poster child for people over the age of 60.

Survey participants chose White as the notable personality they would most want to be like when they reach retirement-age, or are currently like -- if they are already of that age. White topped Jimmy Carter, Martha Stewart, Helen Mirren, Steven Tyler, Jack Welch and George Foreman, according to those who responded.

Also, a whopping 77 percent of pre-retirees and retirees surveyed expect to live to be at least White's age.

The October 2011 study was based on a total of 1,964 random telephone interviews with adults 45 years and older.

Well someone might be not. But after one second, they realize that there is nothing better than that.
