Prince William and Kate were photographed in North Wales recently, taking a stroll with a little black dog alongside them.

Reports speculated that William, 29, planned to give Kate, who turned 30 on Jan. 9, a puppy for Christmas.
If the couple did adopt a dog, the lucky pup won't be the only royal pooch - Prince Charles and Camilla adopted a Jack Russell Terrier named Beth from a London animal shelter back in August. Queen Elizabeth II is also an dog lover, and has owned multiple corgis over the years.

And if Will and Kate DID adopt a puppy from a shelter, I have absolutely no doubt that the dog will be spayed or neutered. Not allowed to breed countless other mongrels, who will eventually have to be euthanized because there are too many pets and not enough people wanting them.
