(CBS/AP) NEW YORK - Health officials in New York have reviewed and dismissed complaints that patients in a hospital neonatal unit were mistreated while Beyonce was there giving birth to her and Jay-Z's daughter.

Health department spokesman Jeffrey Gordon says they received two complaints about Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital. He says both were dismissed by Wednesday night.

Beyonce gave birth to the couple's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, on Saturday. "Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven," the couple said in a statement Monday. "She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives."

Media reports said the couple paid $1 million to take over a floor and their security guard blocked parents from the neonatal unit for hours. The hospital denied the reports, saying the couple paid the standard rate for an executive suite without disclosing what that is.

But hospital spokeswoman Barbara Osborn says the hospital's executive director is conducting an inquiry into the complaints about treatment of neonatal unit patients.

If they feel they can run things set it up at home and leave the rest of the real world alone....I am sick of celebrities believing they are above normal paying customers....if one of the babies died in the nursey and mom or dad couldn't be with them I would sue everyone I could and not as we see these parents are odd naming a baby Blue....poor child school will be a field day for them ....really home school for this child.....

More like the reverse. Have you read the complainant's account in the Daily News? She says she caught a glimpse of Beyonce's newborn,(which she described as beautiful) and security told her she was getting too close. This is exactly why they had security!

They did that massive cover up because she didn't deliver anything. Her surrogate did. I hope this comes out. What arrogance to deny other parents the right to see their children because of this woman's vanity.

Please give that tired surrogate theory a rest. It's like the birther theory, some people won't be happy until they see Beyonce's ob/gyn records, which they will then claim are forged. *SIGH*

I'd heard previously that the baby was born by C-section. Now this article says it was "natural." Wonder which one is really was?

I'm sorry for the other parents, their baby just isn't as important. All the other parents would have snapped a photo with their phone and sold it for $50k. The bodyguards only blocked the fathers from the neonatal, not "parents". If you are an unmarried man u have no parental rights nor any patient rights. Just b/c the female u "knocked up" is carrying a child grown from one of your sperm cells does not give u the right to "papa"-razzi and harass genuine musical geniuses. Once you have platinum records on your wall, and have positively affected millions of lives, u deserve one day of piece while u endure one of the most challenging aspects of life.
