Jay-Z raps about daughter Blue Ivy, discloses details

(CBS/AP) Jay-Z has confirmed the birth of his daughter, Blue Ivy, through a rap song entitled "Glory" about "the most beautiful girl in the world."

The song debuted on his website, Life and Times, on Monday, two days after wife Beyonce reportedly gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter at New York City's Lenox Hill Hospital on the Upper East Side.

While the power couple has declined requests for comment about whether Beyonce did in fact give birth, Jay-Z's song seems to give it all away, providing details.

"You're my child of a child from Destiny's Child," he raps in the song.

The 42-year-old rapper mentions the child was conceived in Paris and even reveals that Beyonce had a miscarriage at one point: "Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you'd disappear/But nah baby you magic."

The sound of a baby's cries - perhaps Blue's - ends the song. The song says it features "B.I.C." - which would be the initials of Blue Ivy Carter.

It's the first child for the musicians, who wed in 2008 in a private ceremony after a years-long courtship. Beyonce announced her pregnancy to the world last August at the MTV Video Music Awards with a simple rub of her swollen belly.

The baby has already received a warm welcome on Twitter from the couple's celebrity friends including Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Diddy and Russell Simmons.

There is no need to pay that amount of money to put a hospital floor on lock down. If you want privacy deliver at your house. I really hope that the patients at Lenox Hospital sue. If I was there and they told me I couldnt see my newborn child because these fools had a baby I would have caused a scene. NO ONE GIVES A CRAP ABOUT YOUR BABY. Mr. Carter(Jay-Z) is on his way to being the first rap star BILLIONAIR and made Forbes magazine noted as such ... he owns several companies and a basketbal team.. he's an esteemed and a respected business man in corporate america and highly sought after.. so get over it hatas and stay POOR because of your attitude of HATE .. no one cares if any of you hate on Jay-Z or his wife Beyounce.. the world loves them both... they're a smart successful couple, intelligent, talented and great entrepreneurs..
