(CBS) Adam Lambert took to Twitter late Thursday night to clear up reports about his arrest in Finland.

"Violence is not to be taken lightly," he wrote. "Embarrassed by drunkenness. No punches thrown, no injuries and no charges. Media always exaggerates."

The media were all over the Lambert story on Thursday. The Hollywood Reporter and TMZ were among the first to cite local reports out of Finland.

It all started when authorities were called after Lambert and his boyfriend, Finnish reality star Sauli Koskinen, reportedly got into a fight outside a bar in Helsinki. They were interrogated and released on Thursday afternoon. Some reports claimed Lambert even got physical with people trying to break up the fight.

Koskinen, winner of the Finland's "Big Brother" TV show, also blogged about the situation -- in Finnish -- on his website.

According to Google translation, he wrote, "Publicity is not easy. But celebrities are only human people. Love is not easy but it is forever!"

The "American Idol" alum landed in Finland on Monday to celebrate the holidays with Koskinen.

I really liked this guy on Idol - but he seems kind of arrogant and out of control.

And except for that Pink song, his songs weren't that great. Too bad his 15 minutes are about over ... he's uber talented.

Prediction: He'll be on Broadway within 2 years.

lol ... Adam is known as the nicest guy in music - he's never arrogant, he's the only guy on Idol that's consistently always thanked the band, he is always kind to fans & poses for pics w/them, he is kind to reporters & interviewers as well as the person who opens his door for him (thanks them) - so maybe you should know your facts before saying crap like that.
I loved every song on his "For Your Entertainment" album, my least fav. was the "Time for Miracles" - the one he did for the 2012 movie, even though he sounded fantastic on it, I didn't care a lot for the song... he's fantastic live - he HEADLINED his own INTERNATIONAL TOUR in 2010 - the first Idol alum to ever do that coming off the show... and it was about 98% completely sold out.
The only thing you got right is that he IS uber-talented.
By the way his new single "Better Than I Know Myself" is out right now, you can buy it on itunes or ********** (where it's .99 right now) and pre-order his cd "Trespassing" which will be out March 2012. He worked with many major producers, writers, and he executive produced it himself.

no, we're not. I'm proud of him... he just made a mistake, but most of the time he's a very classy guy.

Wow, could you not have cleared up the google translation a bit? To credibility2 What part of 'No punches thrown, no injuries and no charges. Media always exaggerates.' did you not quite get? Completely overblown story.

Hey dude, gay or not, if you get into an argument with another person and you're a drunken celebrity and the ire of your anger is your boy friend, you suffer the consequences of the media reporting it like it happened. Your immaturity is showing. A fight doesn't have to involve blows.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about, either. He's responding to all the 100's of media outlets that are reporting that he was physically violent and hit people... YOUR ignorance is showing. Adam never complained about suffering any consequences and YOU are the only one bringing up the gay issue - he never said "oh I'm gay so your rules don't apply to me" or anything like that.

The thing is, millions of people have these things happen to them at some point in their lives (if not many times), and not everybody's is splattered all over the news INTERNATIONALLY - not saying it wasn't a stupid thing to do, but I'm saying EVERYBODY does stupid things & things they're embarrassed about afterwards, but everybody's isn't broadcasted & millions of people have been told fabrications of the what really happened. The truth is, none of us were there, we don't know what happened - but this did happen with his bf Sauli - in his home town in Finland, after Adam had been to Shanghai where he did a private gig, then flew straight to Helsinki. So he did have jetlag, he did drink too much, and he did behave badly because of all of that.
People are so quick to judge. He's really a nice, sweet guy who's majorly talented... if his bf is saying all is well between them, then all is well & it's really none of our business. I'm just glad there was no hitting involved.
(note: I had to put in my name again when replying here, after replying to another's comment, and it wouldn't let me use the same username... so that's why it's different) Also, I wish we could preview the comments before submitting, that'd be a good feature to have here.
