Passengers aboard the plane told TMZ that Rich appeared to be drunk as he was boarding the 10:50 a.m. flight.
The singer also reportedly was involved in a verbal argument before he even boarded the Nashville-bound plane and his disruptive behavior continued when he boarded, reports TMZ.
A Southwest airline representative confirmed that a passenger was kicked off of the flight, but wouldn't give a name, reports TMZ.
"Our crew assessed the situation and determined that the passenger was not fit for travel under governing federal aviation regulations," said the statement. "The customer was rebooked on a later Southwest flight out of Las Vegas, but chose to make alternative travel arrangements. We have processed a refund for the customer and his travel companion."
