Pictures: Jesse JamesThis marks the first time since 2006 that James will return to the Discovery Channel. James' Discovery Channel series "Motorcycle Mania," which documents his experience running West Coast Choppers, helped propel the popularity of bike building shows and launched James' career. He also had two television series, "Monster Garage" and "Jesse James is a Dead Man," and was featured on the second season of "Celebrity Apprentice."
But, the custom motorcycle television genre reached its peak with the Teutuls' "American Chopper." Also on the Discovery Channel, the show follows the father, son and their team as they create custom motorcycles out of their shop, Orange County Choppers. Paulie and Junior's relationship is characterized by hot-tempered fights, which should make for great television on the special especially because James is also known for his short fuse.
However, James is the most notorious of the men due to his high-profile divorce from Sandra Bullock and his on-and-off relationship with tattoo artist Kat Von D.
According to the press release, the three men will each individually be in charge of building their own bike. The entire process will be featured on the Dec. 5 "American Chopper" episode. "American Chopper" fans will have a chance to vote on their favorite motorcycle, and the winner will be announced in a televised live ceremony on Dec. 6 in Las Vegas, Nev.
