Marie Osmond hospitalized in Las Vegas

(CBS) Marie Osmond was taken to a Las Vegas hospital on Wednesday night, following a performance with her brother, Donny.

Reports say that the singer's voice began to sound hoarse during the duo's variety show. After finishing her performance, she went to get checked out.

A rep for the singer told Reuters that she was diagnosed with bronchitis after undergoing tests.

On Thursday, the 52-year-old tweeted, "So the allergies went into a bronchitis. Didn't realize it until I went to hit the high notes last night on stage."

Osmond was cleared to perform again on Thursday evening, the Las Vegas Sun reports, and no dates for her and her brother's show have been canceled.

Her rep told the paper that some numbers might be cut or shortened to give the singer a chance to rest her voice.

Get well soon, Ms Osmond. Too bad that everyone doesn't have free healthcare to go to a doctor when they feel bad. Rich folks sneeze, and go to a doctor. Working Poor get a flu and can barely afford to buy aspirin. Healthcare is a human right and should be free for everyone.

The heading said she was "hospitalized" as if she were admitted to the hospital. When it turned out to be bronchitis, it must have been terrible for a hospitalization! How did she go on?

I have never heard Marie Osmond say anything bad about anyone. How can you call her a hater? She is also far from being a bigot. How old are are you 15? I can remember the show that she and her brother Donny had that aired on prime time before everyone in the world had cable tv. Marie Osmond did have some post partum deppression after the birth of her last child, but she overcame that and she is a very beautiful lady. You do not see many 52 year old women as beautiful as her. She has always seemed like a sweet,caring, lady and a great mother. As for the Mormon Church not paying taxes. as far as I know all churches are tax exempt, as well as clergy, but people who are Mormons pay taxes just like Catholics,Baptist, Pentecostal, and Lutherans. BEcause she is a member of a church does not make her tax exempt. She has done well in life and I hope she gets well soon. The only hater I see on here is you. Are you just jealous because she is famous and well off and you work in a factory or grocery store and she makes more money than most of us do by working a couple of hours a night and beang a spokes person for a diet program?

This lady and her family have been annoying the world for far too long. The only reason people go see her is because tourists from Utah and the more than 25% of Las Vegas population that is mormon. If there was a monkey riding a giraffe, and the promoter claimed that these animals wear Mormon, that show would sell out.
Ok ok, I don't know about 25%, but there sure are a lot of mormons in Vegas.
