(CBS) Another one bites the dust.

Two days after canceling "The Playboy Club," NBC has pulled the plug on the low-rated, critically panned sitcom "Free Agents," Deadline reports.

Pictures: NBC's new fall schedule

The remake of the U.K. series of the same name starred Hank Azaria and Kathryn Hahn as PR execs who have a one-night stand and have to deal with the fallout at work. Its final episode drew a meager 3.3 million viewers, according to Deadline.

On Wednesday, Azaria begged his Twitter followers to tune in: "Okay, it's do or die time for my show Free Agents -- we need eyeballs tonight at 8:30 on NBC!! Watch tonight or we may go away."

If you're keeping track, this means that two freshman shows have gotten the ax ("The Playboy Club," "Free Agents"), and four have gotten full-season orders ("Up All Night," "Whitney," "New Girl" and "2 Broke Girls").

I sure hope someone at NBC can see my post. I am amazed at how fast "Free Agents" was canceled. I thought the show was funny and all the characters were likable. I looked forward each week to watch the next episode. Then I find out it has been canceled. What age group are the networks trying to impress? Why not move it to fridays and see if the ratings pick up, at least attempt to give the show a chance.

I cannot believe this! This was the best new comedy on tv, and now they're canceling it?? so upset :( Also, with so many options like on demand, and being able to record shows, how do they know it wasn't well received??

Free Agents is well written, witty, warm hearted, great comedic acting ,Hank Azaria and Tony Head...of course NBC (nothing' but c#**!) has to dump it. Remember, these are the bozos who thought 5 primetime nights of Leno was a good idea. They'll probably toss out "Prime Suspect" too, which for me is one of the best new shows.

Well that just bites. I truly enjoyed this program as it was better than most new ones in my opinion. Mr. Azaria, you will truly be missed. Wonder what drivel they will replace you with.
