(CBS) Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio have called it quits.

The "Gossip Girl" actress, 24, and the "Inception" star, 36, had been dating for five months.

Reps for DiCaprio and Lively confirmed the split to Us magazine on Tuesday.

The pair "remain friends," the reps added.

The actors were first spotted together in May, during the Cannes Film Festival. Since then, they've been photographed in locales including Venice, Italy; Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif.; and Sydney, Australia, where DiCaprio was filming "The Great Gatsby."

DiCaprio called off his five-year, on-and-off romance with Israeli model Bar Refaeli in May. Lively and "Gossip Girl" co-star Penn Badgley ended their three-year relationship in October 2010.
