Henry Cavill as Superman revealed!

Henry Cavill as Superman

/ Warner Bros. Pictures

(CBS) Henry Cavill cuts quite the figure as Superman in a still released by Warner Bros.

"Man of Steel," starring Cavill as the titular hero, is scheduled for release on June 14, 2013.

Rounding out the cast is Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Superman's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent.

Michael Shannon plays General Zod (will he be as memorable as Terrence Stamp?) and Russell Crowe will appear as Superman's Kryptonian father, Jor-El.

Talk about bad casting. Adams and Kostner are still too young because the Kents were supposed to be an elderly couple even when they found the starship. And why are they changing Perry White's race? I mean I think Fishburne is a great actor, but certain roles such as this already established character is not for him. And they are keeping that dull plastic looking costume too. Looks like WB is screwing up yet another Supe movie. What's wrong with going with the original concept which is what made it work in the first place?

Other than with Christopher Reeves, has there been any others? And that was YEARS ago. I'm up for another, but only because there are some fairly decent actors in it.

Now if you were talking about BATMAN, I would certainly agree.
