(CBS) - The first "Two and a Half Men" season without Charlie Sheen will reportedly open with a funeral for his character.

Pictures: Charlie Sheen

According to Deadline.com, past girlfriends of Charlie Harper, the character Sheen played for seven seasons before getting fired in March, will stop by and pay their respects in the two-part season premiere.

The episode will also have Harper's Malibu home go up for sale, and a few celebrities will make cameos as potential buyers, providing an entrance for Ashton Kutcher's character.

In June, TMZ reported that producers decided to kill off Sheen's character on the show by having him drive off a cliff.

The first episode will be filmed this Friday, and according to Deadline, producers are trying to keep details of the Sept. 19 premiere under wraps and will ask audience members at the taping to sign non-disclosure agreements.

Tell us: Do you think this is a good way to eliminate Sheen from the show?

They forget what make the show great is the character of Charlie Sheen, which is unchangeable. And also the chemistry between Charlie and Alan Harper. We laugh when they are fighting/ bickering but loving each other. We love their brotherhood. I couldn't imagine how Ashton Kutcher fit to this show. It's like building a new show on the current great show. And...it's obviously not TWO AND A HALF MEN, without Charlie Harper in it. Sorry to say, but it seems like...not only the funeral of Charlie Harper but also the show!

Mr. Sheen, remember this, they may not always be right, but they're always the boss!

I haven't read all of the comments so don't know if anyone else has come up with the "ending for Charlie Sheen" scenario - but my "plot/thought" would be that Charlie is in a horrible auto accident that requires - "plastic surgery" and the final outcome is - TADA/DRUMROLL - Ashton Kutcher! Why Not?! My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters on Two and a Half Men - can't even think of one that isn't totally enjoyed. They are all classic.

Crap. He's NOT Alan Harper. I won't watch this show any longer. Hollywood interference again.

THE SHOW WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. Funerals are NOT funny. Thus is not a demonstration of the best creative resolution to a star substitution - it is Lorre doing on TV what he can't do in person.I can't wait for Charlie's new show. Will watch on ANY station, in ANY time slot. Too bad it can't just compete with the old show - but then that would not be fair to the cast of 2 1/2 Men - who never deserved all of this. Good luck to them. They have talent and humor - but Charlie made them shine.

You obviously missed the funeral of Chuckles the Clown on the old Mary Tyler Moore show. It was hilarious!

Give the new show a chance. After all, it's an ensemble show, not the Sheen show. I thought most of the funniest lines came from Berta, not Charlie.

Honestly, I think ANY way they eliminate (on the air)Sheen from the show is fine as long as he is G-O-N-E. I can't say I think the show will survive with his replacement, but who knows? People watch much more idiotic shows for many years. I am just glad he is gone - over a cliff, a waterfall or, as it happened in reality, by his own sickness and greed. My guess is he will have to hit rock bottom to get the help he needs. Hopefully, by that time, he still will have the money to pay for quality help.

Sorry, in real life I guess Charlie was a Class A Jerk and pretty self-destructive, but I loved the show and, regardless of Charlie's real character, his TV character made the show. It won't be the same without him and I'm sure the new show won't get the high ratings as it did with Charlie.

That's funny. He will drive his car over a cliff, much like real life where a few of his cars went mysteriously over a cliff!
