Tony Awards to be simulcast live in NYC's Times Square

The annual ceremony, which honors the best of Broadway, will be simulcast live in Times Square on Sunday night.

Tonys to feature star presenters, live performances
The simulcast, complete with audio, will take place, rain or shine, starting at 6:00 p.m. EDT in Duffy Square, and will continue throughout the evening.
Viewers will be able to see NY1's pre-show, the red carpet arrivals and the entirety of the Tonys ceremony, hosted this year by Neil Patrick Harris, on Clear Channel's SpectacolorHD screen.
"This will be our third year simulcasting the Tony Awards live in Times Square," Howard Sherman, executive director of the American Theatre Wing, said in a statement on Wednesday. "The simulcast and events in Time Square have become a fun tradition that we hope all New Yorkers will be a part of when they join us on Sunday evening."
The Tony Awards, presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will be broadcast live on CBS from New York's Beacon Theater on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. EDT.
