Hitchens' "bin Laden" essay available on Amazon

(CBS/AP) An essay on the death of Osama bin Laden, written by Christopher Hitchens, has been released as an e-book exclusively by Amazon.com.

Amazon announced the 5,000-word essay, "The Enemy," can be purchased for $1.99 online. It is part of the online retailer's "Kindle Singles" program, featuring essays under 30,000 words.

Aside from "The Enemy," Hitchens has written "God is Not Great" and the memoir "Hitch-22." He also contributes regularly to Slate, Vanity Fair and other publications, despite undergoing treatment for esophageal cancer.
