Candice Swanepoel, Victoria's Secret model: Is she too thin?

(CBS) Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel turned heads in Los Angeles recently - not for her model behavior, but for appearing startlingly slim.

The 22-year-old South African beauty revealed a strikingly thin figure while modeling the lingerie label's new line of swimwear Wednesday.

Posing in a tiger print bottom and black top alongside Brazilian models Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, Swanepoel stood out with her ultra slender legs and tiny waist.

While Victoria's Secret has long been known for its voluptuous models like Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell, this isn't the first time the label has been under fire for promoting models that are deemed too thin.

Last March, Ambrosio was criticized for her slim figure while posing in St. Barts for Victoria's Secret.

While the tabloids described Ambrosio as looking like a "young teenager," the 29-year-old responded by telling the U.K.'s Daily Mail, "I'm very lucky to work for a brand (Victoria's Secret) that wants women to be healthy. You need to be able to fill out the bra and the panties, so yes, I'm a curvier girl."

Tell us: do you think Swanepoel or Ambrosio are too thin?

thinmyself says:
As a very thin person myself (nervous breakdown) I can say this woman is far too thin. I struggle to put on weight so that young girls will not look at me and think that what they see is to be expected. There is a real problem with a society that thinks this is how women should look and I have heard from young girls that are taller then I am and weigh about the same as I do that they feel they are fat and need to lose weight. If you can hula-hoop with a cheerio there is a problem.

I stand corrected on this one. I just saw her on TV and she is certainly too thin. When she moves around you can see the ribs and that is unhealthy. She did not look attractive in the clip.

Oh, this kind of article always gets the fatties in an uproar. Excessive skinniness is not this country's number one eating-relating problem.

What do you to bet that everybody who is claiming this gal looks unhealthy is a woman or gay male who is at least 20 pounds overweight and just wants to feel better about their own grapefruit body.

I will bet whatever you got, because I happen to think that she is too skinny and I am none of what you described...

I'm a 5'2" woman who weighs 95 lbs (lost a great deal of weight after both my parents died within a month of each other last year) and I think she looks too thin. I'm hoping to GAIN at least 10 to 15 lbs, so there goes your theory,
