(CBS/AP) NEW YORK - Actor Charlie Sheen doesn't have a deal to publish a planned memoir yet, but a book of poems he self-published 20 years ago is now a hot item on eBay.

Bidding for the long-out-of-print book, "A Peace of My Mind," long out of print, had reached nearly $600 on the online auction website as of Friday afternoon.

The poems are as dark as any of his recent rants, including "A Thoughtless Soul," which features the passage: "A night of drink/ A night of hate/ A night as dark, As last night's date."

The former star of the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men" has been reading from the book on his webcast, "Sheen's Korner," where he also proclaimed he wanted to publish a book titled "Apocalypse Me: The Jaws of Life."

Charlie Sheen is in need of medication and a "real" treatment facility and substance abuse counselor. He doesn't need to continue to get the publicity the media is giving him. What would happen if the media would stop feeding into his madness? Most of these "stars" don't have anyone who is brave enough to tell them the truth. At least his show did stand up to him. I applaud them and by the way, he isn't that great of an actor and anyone could play his role.
