Selena Gomez Receives Death Threats Over Justin Bieber Photos

NEW YORK (CBS) Pictures of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez kissing and getting cozy have caused an uproar on Twitter - with some posters even threatening Gomez's life.

After the photos surfaced on Monday, Bieber fans began sending out a slew of messages aimed at "The Wizards of Waverly Place" actress, including a number of death threats.

One, addressed to Gomez, simply says, "I hate you. Die."

Another threatened, "If you are the Girlfriend of Justin I will Kill you I HATE YOU :@ !!!"

Others said, "roses are red, violets are blue, @selenagomez if you'll break @justinbieber's heart I'm gonna kill you", and "@selenagomez stay away from Justin pedophile, retard wait i'm gonna kill ya in the night underneath your smelly bed".

There were also some kinder remarks. One fan tweeted, "I'm just happy to see you happy xoxo," while another remorsefully posted, "that should be me :(."

The photos, posted on TMZ.com, showed the couple canoodling in their bathing suits while on a yacht in the Caribbean.

The pair have been coy about their relationship status.

"We just like to hang out. They shouldn't be stopping us from going out to dinner and things like that," Gomez told People magazine last month.

Bieber recently told MTV News, "She's really cool. She's an amazing person."

But, he added: "I gotta keep some things to myself."

Just because they love each other, and just because she's older than he is, doesn't mean that everyone and their mother has to say this. I mean seriously all you want is attention, that's why you do this? And people use common sense, if that's Justin Bieber's girlfriend, and you're a crazy girl fan, and you send her a death threat. I'll bet a lot that Justin would not like you all that much. So those who sent Selena a death threat, and you're in love with Justin Bieber, well, he's sure as heck not in love with you.

I just found out that Selena is 18 years old. Justin is 16 YEARS OLD!! What? Is she hard up or something? Boys are a few years younger than girls the same age, in maturity. And he IS a few years younger in actual age. So maturity wise, he is a lot younger.
