NEW YORK (CBS) Kim Kardashian's short romance with model Gabriel Aubry is over.

"They still talk," a source close to the two tells People magazine. "They were getting to know each other, but realized they might be better off just being friendly."

Although her mom, Kris Jenner, labeled the duo as "just friends," an insider told E! Online in November that Aubry, who is the father of Halle Berry's daughter, Nahla, was indeed the reality star's "official boyfriend."

The two sparked relationship rumors when they were spotted sitting next to each other at a Los Angeles Lakers game in November. They reportedly met in New York through mutual friends.

According to People, he even spent the Thanksgiving holiday together with Kardashian and her family.
