WOODSIDE, Calif. (CBS/AP) The 1960s songbird Joan Baez is "resting comfortably" at an undisclosed location after falling 20 feet to the ground from a treehouse - a treehouse she purposely had built without walls because she wanted to sleep among real birds at her home in Woodside, Calif.

The 69-year-old singer and  political activist was climbing down from the platform Wednesday when she fell. According to the San Jose Mercury News, Baez suffered minor injuries and was released after treatment at Stanford Hospital.

Nancy Lutzow runs Baez's production company and tells the Mercury News that Baez was resting Thursday at a secure location.

Baez is known for such songs as "Blowin in the Wind," "Forever Young," "Diamonds & Rust" and "Sweet Sir Gallahad," as well as once having a relationship with rocker - then a  fellow folk singer -  Bob Dylan.

If you knew anything at all you would know that Joan Baez did no drugs at all. Get your facts straight before opening up your pie hole.

Joan Baez has more humanity in her pinky than any of the knuckleheads that posted comments earlier. This woman is so far ahead of her time it is crazy. How can you find fault with a person who hates violence and war, and has the pellets to stand up and say so. Not to mention that she is a beautiful talented soul. I adore you Joan and I hope you feel better soon....

Personally I'd rather not have to wake up and find bird droppings all over me.

Technically, if it didn't have walls, then it would be a tree platform.

Speedy recovery Joan.
