Hosts Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, Sara Gilbert and Marissa Jaret Winokour will first welcome model Christie Brinkley on Monday's premiere show, followed by Jennifer Lopez on Tuesday.

TV personality Melissa Rycroft and former first lady of South Carolina Jenny Sanford will be featured on Wednesday's episode and actress Chandra Wilson on Thursday. Jamie Lee Curtis, former NBA star and current "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Rick fox and his professional partner Cheryl Burke will appear on Friday's lineup, rounding out the week's guest list.

"The Talk" promises honest discussion on topical events and contemporary issues through the eyes of the six female co-hosts, who all have children.

Although many might compare the show to another roundtable of women, ABC's "The View," a CBS official said they "are not really competing against them for ratings or guests," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"The Talk" premieres Monday, Oct. 18, at 2-3 PM, ET and 1-2, PT.

Frankly, "The Talk" was looked forward to - anything after years of agony with "The View" - I favor CBS. No more. This show is one mess. It's over-cast, too many immature females with vacuuous grey matter (or appearing so), and innocuous topics, wasted time, poorly designed set, and lying no less. Why on earth would any show premier using Brinkley?

Osborn and Gilbert could co-host a show, perhaps. But, there are presently far great women with much more to contribute to daily life in America than this tribe. It's just a really bad act on the part of CBS - is it desperate?

The only smidgen of reality was having an older woman on the show, but Osborn has only emerged the last few years, and there's scant evidence that she can "speak" to today's senior woman, and the skit about sex education was appaling; such attitudes went out in the late 1970s. This show needs to be shut down, fast.

CBS look at that time-slot viewship, and who the consumers are for the sponsors - you've missed the mark!

At this moment I am watching The Talk.I really like all the hosts especially Sara Gilbert.I havent seen Christie Brinkley in a while and I live near the Hamptons. We are around the same age so of course I have followed her career, especially the Billy Joel years. And also the whole fiasco with Peter Cooke, which was an ongoing soap opera especially on Long Island. The reason Im writing this is all the hosts gushing about how FABULOUS she looks especially for her age. Then Sharon asked her about Botox. She of course said she tried it once and didnt like it.I find it so offensive and downright misleading to normal 60 year old women when women deny having work done.It is so obvious that she has had a ton of work done to her face and body.I dont care how much you work out and your vegetarian diet, you will not look like this unless you visit your plastic surgeon yearly. She is a very beautiful woman, why cant she just admit she has had procedures so the normal older woman wont feel so bad.At least Sharon Osbourne admits it.Sharon should have called her on it.Other than Ms. Brinkley, I very much liked the show and the Hosts

I personally know that Miss Brinkley has NOT "had a ton of work done" I have known her and spent time with her in the Hamptons and with her family. She has NOT had aything done to her body , but, leads a Vegan lifestyle with a little "safe" fish eating and runs on the beach with her dog and actually uses her Total Gym and surfs with her 15 year old son. When you start doing that yourself... and dedicate parts of your life to your own healthy choices then make assumptions and attacks,... This women gives herself honestly to charities and the public and has no reason to "make believe" she admitted wearing spanx under her dress on national tv and the botox story of it not working is very very true. She does look fabulous for 56 . She works out hard, eats extremely well,... and cares about the enviorment. These are three things that make many women look more beautiful everyday. Your aggression to someones truth speaks volumes about "who you are " as a women. As a women myself it breaks my heart to hear you speak. I loved the interview and I cheer Christie on as she moves thru public lawsuits , chreating partners and life. We are all the same,.. we need to embrace that and love that and cheer for each other.

You said, "It is so obvious that she has had a ton of work done to her face and body.I dont care how much you work out and your vegetarian diet, you will not look like this unless you visit your plastic surgeon yearly."

That is a very bold fact-less tact-less statement to make. I know she sees a skincare dermatologist mostly because of her years in the sun as a child in california, but I also know there are no yearly visits to plastic surgeons,...

So get up get out and move change your diet,... take care of your skin chase around two teenagers and a dog at 56 ride horses and surf and then tell me if your weight and your looks dont shift a little for the better.

As far as women attacking pretty women , save it,... you need enough self respect and self esteem to cheer for each of us and we will cheer for you. That my friend will change the world!

Saw you on "The Early Show" this morning. I think that this is a wonderful concept and was wondering if you plan on doing any segments on mothers of "Special Needs" children. I am the grandparent of a special needs child and have seen the difficulties that my daughter has had to pursue and not always able to find the answer. My daughter would be able to supply the difficulties that she has had for 16 years and ones that she is presently facing. There must be other mothers in the world that face the same prediciments. Thank you and good luck with your show.

Sorry, won't be watching. The majority of viewers have NOTHING in common with these women. Unlike them, I raise my own children, clean my own house, do my own nails and makeup, etc. No nannies, no housekeepers, etc. I make in a year as an RN what they are "earning" in a month, and Leah has the nerve to complain about her payscale on the promo commercials. How irrelevant. ATWT fans are livid that their beloved show was replaced for this drivel. It'll bomb. But Julie Chen sleeps with the boss-you know how that goes.

Totally agree with you. it was an utter waste of time, and as bad as "The View," IMHO. It was not only irrelevant, but irreverant in that it totally ignorned the reality of women and families today - including senior women. Frankly, it needs to be shut down, and we really need some enjoyable, light-hearted, interesting fare (without violence, and lew extremes, and bad language) - even a good game show would help day-time viewing. (I was very disappointed in Chen; thought better of her.)

If the Talk" promises honest discussion on topical events and contemporary issues through the eyes of the six female co-hosts, than when guest star Jennifer Lopez is on instead of congratulating miss Lopez on her new job as a judge on the American Idol, ask her how is going to help judge American Idol when According ABC News- Entertainment- Lopez has had her share of recent problems, Lopez's star quotient has diminished since her late-'90s/early-'00s heyday. Her latest movie, "The Back-Up Plan," flopped at the box office earlier this year and her longtime record company, Sony Music Epic Records, dropped her in February, and her clothing line Sweetface went bankrupt back in June 2009., if ask these questions, then you will convenes me that your new show will be worth watching, if not, than I won?t be watching.
