Joan Collins: Jennifer Aniston is Cute, Not Beautiful like Angelina Jolie

NEW YORK (CBS) Angelina Jolie has a fan in Joan Collins.

While the former "Dynasty" actress shared her two cents on today's crop of Hollywood stars to UK's Hello! magazine, Collins said Jolie is the only real true beauty in Tinseltown.

"I have to say, there aren't that many good looking actresses around today. I mean, there's Angelina Jolie and there's...Angelina Jolie," she said. "Jennifer Aniston is cute, but I wouldn't call her beautiful. She's no Ava [Gardner] or Lana [Turner]."

The outspoken screen icon, who famously played Alexis Carrington on the hit 1980s television series, went on to complain that the majority of today's stars lack true Hollywood glamour, subsequently leaving the public "starved of gorgeous people."

"When I was young, everybody on screen was gorgeous," she said about the actresses from back in the day, like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Ava Gardner.

"Yes, I know fashions change and everyone attempts to look up-to-date but the movie-star styles of the Twenties, Thirties, Forties and Fifties changed radically each decade. What didn't change, however, was their individual style; they were all one-offs."

Joan Collins is entitled to her seasoned opinion; fighting it would invite attention that Jen Aniston might not like even more than the original remark!

Jennifer Aniston is "cute" and the world's "most eligible bachelorette," with tons of effort. La Jolie is Angelina, even with big disfiguring tattoos all over her body. Tally it up and do the math. Nearly 80-years' sharp, Joan Collins has seen it all and her candor and quick wit are so refreshing. She also needs the publicity.

Our society has become downright vacious towards anyone with different views. Joan wasn't insulting anyone. She was merely speaking her mind. Technically speaking, Jolie is more beautiful than Jennifer. Jennifer is more likeable.

Ouch! That must hurt lol! Anyway, Angelina Jolie is obviously not a Golden Age beauty, she might be hot and sexy, but i don't really think she's beautiful. Jennifer Aniston either, of course. And well, i don't think i need to talk about the woman who made this comment...Come on! There actually are some really beautiful actresses right now: Julianne Moore, Jennifer Connelly, Marion Cotillard, Keira Knightley, Scarlett Johansson...I don't usually say this, but maybe classy women are more beautiful than actual women. Dear Modo202 and whomever...We agree that Jen is just cute and not one of those beauties. What I disagree with is Jolie is NOT one of the old Hollywood beauties either. Furthermore, keep in mind, Hollywood was mostly black and white...so yes, they looked good. Plus, Hollywood was more of a mystery...you didn't see the Stars going grocery shopping, or to a park. They were considered 'larger than life'. Now the stars/celebs are more like regular folks. There were only a few that were considered true beauties then too. As for today, Sharon Stone is NOT one of them, nor Diane Lane. Obviously, this is up to one's opinion. I do know that Angelina is just like the rest of them too...just pretty, not ALL THAT. Geeeezzz, in my opinion, Charlize Theron holds up must more Old Hollywood beauty than Ms. Jolie. Finally, whomever you prefer...Ms. Collins, needs to learn some manners. She is so rude, you don't go publically saying such garbage. Who does she think she is? Remember, she was not even in the running for old Hollywood beauty. Before one goes making such comments, one should look in the mirror. Ms. Collins was not a Hollyweird beauty at all!

I really don't care what Joan said. The beautiful and sweet Jen is always the best. Joan or Angela does not have Jen's inner beauty.
Joan and Angelina are same type of ... That's why she is mean, nasty, and very rude. She's totally lost her class.

Well I guess I am one of the few that agrees with Joan...if you watch the films of the yesteryears the actresses were not considered cute...Yes,,aniston is attractive and pretty but cute is the word,,,
The glamorous age is over for the current younger generation who is only looking at the surface and not the ridiculous of the stream of pretty actresses....however...we could put a Sharon Stone as one beauty and Daine Lane as another...they hold class...stardom and could play roles that are far greater than any that this peon ANison is trying to portray..If it wasn't for good ole BRAD we wouldn't even be talking about her...she is so full of herself and so competive to prove she can be pretty..ok she is pretty cute but GORGEOUS??? come on...and Joan should know...she was surrounded by beauty...the Linda Evans...Bo Derek...And then the Ava Gardeners...the Grace Kellys...the Kim Novacks....now we are talking...the Gene Tieneys...the Garbos and you are saying ANISTON is one of them...Sorry...but Joan calls it right....good for her....we need more class than sass in hollywood and then maybe some acting lessons along with driving lessons for ANISTON...and forget BRAD already..it was a mistake he made and consequently made her.....go watch some of the Bacall movies and the black and whites that really show you what stars are made of and Jolie has it!!!!! are you all just jealous?

First of all, Angelina Jolie is NOT comparable to the beauties of Holywood's golden age. There are more beautiful women than Jolie! Second, Joan Collins is ONE TO TALK? She was never even in the 'running' of being a beauty like her fellow actressess! She was in film when LIz Taylor and the others were...did you hear of Joan much then? NO! Who makes Joan an expert? She is rude!
