NEW YORK (CBS) ABC recently revealed the lineup for the 11th season of "Dancing with the Stars," but who are the celebs that rejected the offer to cha-cha-cha on the dance floor?

An insider revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that a handful of high-profile stars shot down the opportunity to go after the mirrorball trophy.
Among the celebs that declined to participate: Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, billionaire Richard Branson, the real Erin Brockovich, political commentator Ann Coulter, "The Price is Right" host Drew Carrey and actors Suzanne Somers and Sylvester Stallone.
Sitcom veterans Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley were also on the list. However, a rep for Allen told E! Online that the funnyman was never even asked to appear on the show. Alley confirmed the report herself via Twitter.
"Not doing DWTS this season. Way too chicken!" the former "Cheers" actress wrote. "Maybe next season if I'm invited again!"
"Community" actor and "The Soup" host Joel McHale was also reportedly courted to join the upcoming edition of the dancing reality show. Like Allen, his reps firmly deny that he was approached by the show's producers.
"It is 100 percent false that he was offered a spot on this year's show," his rep said.
According to THR's casting source, stars will sometimes lobby themselves to get on the show, like Melissa Joan Hart (who was successful and appeared on Season 9 of the dancing competition). However, one actress doesn't seem to share the same luck as Hart and is consistently denied.
"Melanie Griffith tries to get on every season," the source said.
Season 11 of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres on ABC on Sept. 20.
