Russell Brand Suffers Injuries In Car Crash in New York

NEW YORK (CBS) British actor Russell Brand is reportedly "shell-shocked" after being involved in a auto collision in New York City on Monday.

According to published reports, the "Get Him to The Greek" actor, who is engaged to pop singer Katy Perry, had just left the set of his upcoming film "Arthur" when a truck ploughed into the back of his $238,000 Lamborghini Superleggera.
According to the British newspaper Daily Mirror, the 35-year-old actor escaped with minor injuries. Stunned witnesses watched Russell, trapped in the passenger's seat, struggle ro climb out the driver's door.
A source told the newspaper that "the whole incident was pretty terrifying. Russell was very shaken."
"He refused to go to A&E despite severe bruising on his arm and cuts. He's gutted as he'd only just taken loan of the car."
Brand's mother has flown out from London to be with him. Fiancee Katy Perry is performing at the MTV World Stage Live event in Malaysia.
