NEW YORK (CBS) Craig Ferguson and his wife, Megan, are expecting their first child together this winter.

"The Late Late Show" host took to his Twitter account on Wednesday to share the news.

"Holy crackers! Mrs F is pregnant. How did that happen?" he wrote. "Oh yeah I know how. Another Ferguson arrives in 2011. The world trembles."

Ferguson and his wife, an art dealer, married in December 2008. They are also parents to Milo Hamish, 9, Ferguson's son from a previous marriage.

by Pattismack July 16, 2010 9:59 AM EDT: Re "Step-parent Megan": I think the point is, if you've read a few other accounts of the announcement, is that they make it seem that Milo's mother is out of the picture. One article said that Craig & the Mrs are "raising his son from a previous marriage together" - as if Sasha had died or given up her parental rights. Not cool.; Reply to this comment

He's so much more knowledgeable when it pertains to other countries and he is one funny man. His honesty is quite refreshing and he looked so genuinely happy to announce his wife was pregnant.; Reply to this comment

why do celebrity wives always claim children as their own that do not belong to them? She cannot be called a parent to Milo. She is not his mother. Milo has a mother. Mr. Ferguson's ex wife. I'm sure his ex wife would agree with me.

by msille July 15, 2010 3:45 PM EDT: A stepmother is a parent, especially if the father has full or shared custody. Anyone who has responsibility on a regular basis for a child can be considered a parent. Besides, the reporter is the one who said she was the son's parent not Megan Ferguson.
