The former First Daughter, 30, who is getting married on July 31 to Marc Mezvinsky, is throwing a wedding bash that will reportedly have up to 500 guests, including some of the biggest names in politics and entertainment. Just who made the cut?

According to the Hudson Valley News, guests include President Obama, singer Barbra Streisand, filmmaker Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw, and media moguls Oprah Winfrey and Ted Turner. Also invited according to reports, are former Clinton advisor Harold Ickes, Clinton fundraiser Terry McAuliffe, former British Prime Minister John Major, historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, and long-time Clinton friend and donor Denise Rich.

Despite the big-name guest list, the wedding is expected to be intimate. New York magazine reported that "Chelsea has instituted a strict 'no-strangers' policy: She must personally know every invitee."

The Hudson Valley News revealed details of the Clinton wedding last week, reporting that the pair will hold the ceremony at the Astor Mansion in the town of Rhinebeck, N.Y. The newspaper reported that the small town, roughly 90 miles outside of New York City, is a favorite Clinton vacation destination.

You know, Hillary wasn't all that bad looking when she still dressed as feminenly. Of course, now her closet looks just like Bill's, except for the shoes.

Must be the Bill in poor Chelsea....she sure didn't get her mama's looks.

I wish her luck and happiness nonetheless. They guy thinks she's gorgeous, I hope.....

Either that, or he wants to run for the Senate.

We'll see....

why is this news? it is a young woman's wedding, not an "open to the public" social event.

In the second paragraph it does state that she is the "Former" First Daughter.

stn_sage says:
Regarding accuracy in reporting, Chelsea Clinton is NOT "The First Daughter"! Nor, is her father, "The President", or "Mr. President"!

They are BOTH former holders of those titles! When they cease occupying those positions, they cease holding those titles! Got it?!

The correct address is 'former' or 'ex' affixed to start of the address!

Use of the title that they DO NOT HOLD attributes authority and more importance to their utterances than is otherwise deserved!

You are wrong. The title "Mr. President" is for the life of the person who has held the office.

"She must personally know every invitee"

How bout the groom? Does he get to attend the wedding? Does he need to know any of the guests? If he knows them but Chelsea doesn't do they get cut?
Hope its not as bridezilla-ish as CBS makes it sound.
