Robert "Mutt" Lange and Shania Twain Officially Divorced; Singer Seen With Frederic Thiebaud

NEW YORK (CBS) Shania Twain's divorce from music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange was finalized this week, and the country singer appears to be wasting no time moving forward with her new man, Frederic Thiebaud.

Twain, 42, and Lange, 59, separated back in May 2008 after 14 years of marriage.

Immediately after their separation, it was alleged that the two split because Lange was having an affair with Marie-Annie Thiebaud, the couple's longtime secretary and manager of their chateau in Switzerland.

But even though she's legally single now, the country singer is not quite back on the market.

Twain was recently spotted getting cozy with Marie-Annie Thiebaud's ex-husband, Frederic, at the Swiss Red Cross Ball on May 29, according to a recent People report. A source close to the country singer told the magazine that Twain "looked radiantly happy" and that the two "are a great addition to each others lives."

Besides moving on from Lange, Twain is taking her career in a new direction; she is currently prepping to shoot a TV series for the Oprah Winfrey Network called, "Why Not? With Shania Twain."

Also, Twain's recent successful stint on "American Idol" as a guest judge and mentor has added her to the bevy of celebrity names rumored to replace Simon Cowell.

She was delighted when she was married you could see the light in her eyes when she talked of her husband. I imagine you are the couch sitting sort without the desire to go after your dreams or find your talent. Jealousy is nasty grow up!

You seem to be a really nice lady who was betrayed by your husband. Not that it's any of our buisness, but I do hope and pray you find the happiness you are looking for and deserve, whomever it's with.

did you miss the connection of names between who her ex allegedly cheated with ... and who she's now seen with?

i'd the question of who was first to betray is a bit up in the air ... and probably dependent on who you talk to.

I don't think there is a question on who betrayed who first. Mutt Lange betrayed her. And from the sounds of it, she was very surprised. She didn't start up with Frederic until probably a year later.

Wow. So what's inside doesn't count? Mutt Lange is an ass, but maybe Frederic is a very nice, kind, thoughtful and generous man. That doesn't count for anything?

I thought she had already gotten rid of that loser a couple of years ago. Good move for her, when I first saw that he was her husband, several years ago, I thought, wow, what a mismatch. That straggly little thing she was married to needs to find somebody on his level. I hope she makes a better choice next time around and doesn't settle for some freeloader who wants to cash in on her success.
