Beyonce to Perform, Eva Longoria Parker to Attend White House State Dinner

NEW YORK (CBS) Those lucky enough to have an invitation to Wednesday's state dinner at the White House in Washington will be treated to star-studded performances and may rub elbows with a few celebrity guests.

Beyonce is scheduled to perform at the affair, along with Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela and the United States Marine Band. The performances will take place inside a tent on the South Lawn.

All the Details on the State Dinner

The gala, which will honor Mexico's President Felipe Calderon and first lady Margarita Zavala, will take place in the East Room of the White House.

Guests expected to attend include "Desparate Housewives" star Eva Longoria Parker, actress Salma Hayek, "The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah pal Gayle King and talk show host George Lopez, according to the White House.

What did they do, grab every mexican, and hispanic celebrity and invite them ?

On my dime ? when is this clown going to understand that these extravagant dinners need to be postponed until this economy is in better shape.....it is really starting to look like royalty and it shouldn't.
