The U.S. Marshals office held a media preview of Saturday's auction in Brooklyn, where more than 400 pieces of Madoff history were on display.
Among the items to be auctioned off? Bernie's embroidered Italian slippers, Ruth Madoff's 10 carat diamond engagement ring, and the Madoffs' extensive shoe collection.
Also available: a canopy bed (mattress not included), a leather elephant, Ruth Madoff's golf clubs and Bernie Madoff's boxers, size 40.
The auction is expected to bring in about 1.5 millions dollars, all of which will go toward the restitution of Madoff's victims.
