CBS News Exclusive: New Image of Faisal Shahzad in Times Square

A photo obtained exclusively by CBS News shows the would-be Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad with friends in Times Square, less than 100 yards from the spot where he abandoned an explosives-laden SUV Saturday.

The photo shows Faisal Shahzad standing on the far right with his wife, Huma Mian, and several other unidentified people. Sources tell CBS News the photo is believed to have been taken a year and a half to two years ago.

To date, most images of Shahzad have come from the Orkut.com social site, where his wife had a profile.

They are like a infested community. all Quantity no quality. We should do what India did - Justice. Pakis killed scores of people in Bombay- death for the paki who did it. That is justice.i want to watch the chap on TV when they hang him. Pure justice, By putting you people on a pedestal, we will end up spoiling the lives of our children and our families safety.
No one asked your father to be on that train. The deeds of your ancestors all over the world have been only to sow hatred. Did you forget what you muslim did to hindus since then. It is not Islam that is to be blamed for all this in the same as other religions are not blamed for what their believers do. It is the people who mold and twist the Islamic teachings to their own understandings.

Pakistan and Indian Muslims are mostly in a confused state of thousand years old culture and the new religion. Many of us were Hindus in the sub continent thousand years before even Muslim kings reign supreme. We became Muslims after the conquerer came from the Arab world to spread Islam. We were among the "untouchables" and Islam showed us respect which we were not given as Hindus.

Islam does not teach us terrorism or attacking innocent people or even an army without warning them. It is just that because everyone hates this religion, they do not see that belonging to other religions, they too do the same thing. Thousands of innocent women and children have died because of the drone attacks. Why is this justified and good in your eyes when terrorism and attacking from behind in everyone's opinion is so bad.

I respect and understand that talibans shouldn't be doing this and they have to be stopped and also punished or finished. Yet, it is unjustly to blame all in the same category

The debate over whether Faisal Shahzad should have been read Miranda Rights, or stripped of his citizenship is a moot point. The bigger issue at hand is what kind of punishment will be handed down to Shahzad if he is found guilty of charges that he intended to set off a car bomb and kill scores of people.

by notparicular May 6, 2010 12:12 AM EDT: Miranda right is only one issue. Father of this character is a big shot in the air force (vice air marshal) of Pakistan. Other close relatives of him are placed pretty high too in Pakistan. He comes from a very privileged background. I believe when our justice system finally get over the Miranda business and issue a fitting punishment, influence people from both parties in Washington will get into the act, slap him on the wrist (bad boy! tarnished the name of the family!!), deport him to the custody of his father. He will get a cushy job for the Pakistani government.

It is a question of who are what could we declare war on. Were this a war in the legal sense the answer would be treason. The punishment? Who knows except New Yorkers and Legal pundits. What is the jail term for attempted mass murder?

Shahzad means Prince (Prince of terror?). Pakistan was formed consisting of 2 sides which were called East and West Pakistan. Due to trouble they were giving their neighbors - India, India busted it up in 1971 and separated off East Pakistan following a war, which became Bangladesh. Today's Pakistan is less than half of its original population. But these guys are supreme masochists. They performed 911 and now are loaded with allied forces, which have taken over Afghanistan and roam thru Pakistan. Afterwards, they performed terror attack in India in Nov 2008. Osama bin Laden is a leader of sick men like Shahzad. Google jindan-kaur-of-cheechonkemalian-840 and read it. It'll tell you what horrors they are capable of.

1- Pakistan alone was not the trouble maker, India could not stand a "Musla" community on its own. Bangladesh and Pakistan separation is part of another story not busting favor of India.

2- Today Pakistan is more than half of its population. The population is increasing every day.

3- Masochism is in every religion. May I take the opportunity to address the love and respect Christian people pay by beating themselves to show their love for Christ. Now you will say not everyone... so I say that too applies to Pakistani people

4- 911 was not performed by just any Pakistani(s). If as it is told it also had Saudi people, Afghani related to group Taliban and whi produced Taliban? I would like you to research that

5- I agree Osama and now MAsoud are taking wrong ways to promote Islam but Jindan Kaur story does not illustrate the whole history of what happened at the day of migration.

My father was also in a train, 11 years old. All the train was full of muslims. The Sikhs attacked it and killed all men, children, women and cut their breasts off and took them as sovenigers. My father was wounded but lay under his dead father quiet. They checked him and went away.

Every single politician that sings the praises of immigration and "diversity" is a useful idiot at the service of Al-Qaeda. No exceptions.

If diversity is so great, why don't they try it in the Muslim world?
