Obama Tells Democrats: Keep the Faith

President Barack Obama is asking fellow Democrats to have patience as he tries to deliver the change he promised during his campaign.

Obama spoke at a Washington hotel to donors and supporters of his political organization, Organizing for America. He says he has started to deliver the promised change but it's hard. He says he knows his supporters are frustrated, but Obama says he is not going to give an inch.

Obama says he helped guide the nation through the worst of an economic recession but acknowledges much work remains.

Obama is trying to rally dispirited Democrats after the loss of the Senate seat held by the Edward M. Kennedy. He pointed to early victories, changes to U.S. approach to Iraq and Afghanistan and steps ahead on other legislation.

I told RobAla that if a voter wants to remove any Congress member that has raised the nation debt per his post: "Anyone from either party that votes to increase the national debt needs to be thrown out." -- then that voter needs to look at each Congress members ENTIRE record, not just what is being done in this Congress.

If you are against raising the national debt, you have to be against EVERY vote that raised it, not just those in the current session.; Reply to this comment

During the Prayer Breakfast on Feb 4, what in the world was Obama saying when he said over and over, "corpse man", when referring to a medical corpsman?

He reminded me of George W. Bush, but in Obama's case, HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT!

by RobAla February 5, 2010 5:54 AM EST: I was amazed to see our Commander in Chief with so little understanding of the military. I am afraid he is in over his head. And the scariest thing is the fact that I doubt he even knows it. He really needs to rely on people who know what they are doing to coach him a little.

His liberal handelers have this as their first priority. Obama has never even had a job, how could one expect anything other than his ignorance of the military?

I don't care if they keep the faith or not, I just don't want them to keep their seats in the House and Senate. Any jerk that was involved in the corrupt health care fiasco, should be thrown out. Anyone from either party that votes to increase the national debt needs to be thrown out. November 2010 can't come soon enough!

Because you will have to vote out your own Senators (R) or (D) if they EVER increased the national debt -- which is every one of them that has been in office since the debt started being calculated -- on one vote or another.
You'll also have to jettison long serving (and some shorter term) House Reps both (R) and (D) that have voted on anything that increased the national debt. That would include most every bit of spending in the last nine years.

I know you said "either party" but since your post is under an article about Democrats ... I want you to be clear that they are not the only big spenders in our government.

I want any Republican who votes along with them on this - to be thrown out, as well! We have to send adults to Washington, who are able to make the hard decisions. To reduce spending will involve hard decisions, but that is what they are sent to do. Blessings.
