Obama brokers Israel-Turkey reconciliation

AMMAN, Jordan President Barack Obama says the timing on his trip to Israel was right for Turkey and Israel to start restoring normal diplomatic relations.

That process started Friday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and apologized for errors that resulted in deaths of activists aboard a Gaza-bound flotilla in 2010. Obama, who was in Israel, brokered the call. He says Netanyahu agreed it was the right moment.

Obama says he's long felt it was important the two countries restore good relations so they can pursue common interests. He says Turkey and Israel don't have to agree on everything to be able to work together on regional security and other issues.

Obama spoke at a news conference with Jordan's King Abdullah II.

I suspect there is something else behind this sudden reconciliation between Israel and Turkey.

The IAF would be seriously stretched to fly a bombing mission from its bases in Israel and attack Iran's nuclear facilities. Flying missions from Turkey is strategically smart. I suggest that this is the first hard indicator that military action is in play.

The motive for Turkey, a member of NATO, is dismantle a nuclear armed Iran.

American citizens need health care coverage. it is not Ok (nor is it Christian) to let large parts of the American Public have no health care coverage except in ERs. Maybe Obamacare is not perfect, but health coverage costs money which needs to come from somewhere. So if you hate Obamacare, propose some other way that would actually get us there. Just don't ignore the problem, or make up solutions that don't work.

If Obama was involved, read the fine print VERY carefully. We are now finding out all the hidden taxes, fees, and expensive regulations they put in Obamacare. This despite his promises that no one making less than $200,000 would see any tax increases.

The USA has spent over 2 trillion dollars defending Europe alone. That is money THEY did not spend . So I guess we have funded Europes "universal" health care.
