Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio met today with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Shimon Peres during the course of a trip to the Middle East that includes stops in Israel and Jordan.

At his meeting with Netanyahu, Rubio poked fun at his recent "water bottle-gate" incident, in which he took a sorely needed but inartful swig of water during his televised response to President Obama's State of the Union address. In a photo released by Rubio's Senate office, the two men are shown, grinning broadly, holding aloft bottles of water as bystanders in the room look on.

Apart from the self-effacing humor, according to a release from Rubio's press office, the senator and the Israeli leaders discussed the "political landscape changes in the Middle East, Israel's relations with its neighbors, peace negotiations with the Palestinians, the Iranian nuclear threat, and further strengthening the U.S.-Israeli strategic relationship."

Rubio, who sits on the both the Senate Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committees, also made headlines on the trip by declaring that Jerusalem is "of course" the capital of Israel, according to the Associated Press.

The status of Jerusalem, which Palestinians also claim as the capital of a prospective Palestinian state, is one of many issues that have tripped up negotiators working to secure an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement. The U.S. embassy in Israel is located in Tel Aviv, not Jerusalem.

The trip to Israel is Rubio's second: he previously visited the Jewish state in 2010 after his Senate victory. He departed for the region last Saturday and is expected to return on Friday.

I sure hope we write our friends the Israelis a big fat check so they can protect themselves against all of the left wing's vile Arab Muslims friends.
The scum atheist Neo-COMS even sided with Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden after the 9/11 attack against Bush and their own fellow citizens, but when Bin Laden was killed by the Navy Seals they tried to praise
Obama Bin Lying.
Have you ever seen such a bunch of disgusting traitors and hypocrites?

Rubio can try and laugh it off all he wants. He wasn't thirsty. He was a NERVOUS WRECK during the speech. He just couldn't control his nerves. When people get really nervous during presentations, their mouth gets really dry. He was licking his lips like crazy. If this guy can't even deliver a speech without getting that nervous, what kind of leader will he be?

Lyin' Rubio, Florida mistake in the US Senate. Rubio was caught using campaign funds for personal use and then he repaid it quickly but only after he was caught. Then there's the big lie about his grandparents escaping Castro Cuba. The Tampa Tribune presented evidence that his grandparents left Cuba in 1957 two years before Castro took power. One must wonder what else has Rubio lied about? Florida has chosen poorly.

Obama told more lies when he was campaigning for President than anybody I know.

We still do not have a full and accurate account of Obama's past; which we don't know wether he's lying about or not, because he refuses to make this information public.

WHAT PART OF 'ALL POLITICIANS LIE' DO YOU NOT GET.??!!

Fool me once, shame on you.

Fool me twice, shame on me.

Evidently, Obama was able to buy enough fools to get him elected a second time.

Shame on everybody who voted for him the second time.!

Natenyahu needs to wake up and realize that Obama is President. He has 4 more years and I think it is foolish for him to think that the US wouldn't cut back some of our money and support. By rubbing Rubio in Obama's face is not wise.

NETANYAHU has made no effort to mask his dislike of President Obama... The relationship is chilly at best.

What he fails to grasp is that Obama is never running for office again...so this photo pop basically says...Israel doesn't really care about it's relationship with the President of the United States for the next 4 years... (Hope nothing happens)...

Rubio thinks he's already running for President..NO CHANCE...majority Spanish speaking Americans are from Mexico and they do not like being looked down on by Cubans... So pic is good for a few news cycles, but ultimately hurts Israel..allows Obama to keep a more polite distance, possibly helping Palestine a little more...

When I was standing on the wall during Vietnam I looked to the right, to the left, and never saw an Israeli.

When my son was hit by shrapnel in Afghanistan, he looked to the right and to the left and never saw an Israeli. Which flank were the Israelis on during the 1990 Iraq invasion? On that's right, there were none, but US missile batteries had to be sent to Israel to "protect the Israelis from Saddam", presumably from his fictitious weapons of mass destruction. And Iraq is not that far from Israel, how many Israelis were members of the Coalition of the Willing?

Oh, that's right, 0.

But the CIA discovered Israeli agents were encouraging Kurd separatism in opposition to American (and Turkish) policy. Many of my family are Canadians. And when I think of the Canadians who died at Dieppe, in Hong Kong, who when all hope appeared lost under fire evacuated Brest to fight on from Britain, and who until America came into the war singlehandedly kept the lifeline open in the North Atlantic to Great Britain against the Nazi onslaught, to disgrace this county by claiming a country who has never given one life to support America (but who of course murdered American sailors on the USS Liberty) is a "priceless American ally" portrays exactly why America needs to if necessary provide military aid to the Palestinians to drive settler storm-troopers out of the West Bank and Jerusalem.
