Sarah Palin to speak at major conservative event

After former Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska, left her job as a contributor for Fox News, she said conservatives "can't just preach to the choir."

"I'm taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation," she said.

In one of her next high-profile appearances, however, Palin may be addressing one of the nation's most conservative annual events. The American Conservative Union announced today that Palin will be a featured speaker at CPAC 2013 - the 40th annual conservative political action conference - to be held March 14-16 at National Harbor, just outside of Washington, D.C.

The three-day event will feature several prominent conservatives, from both inside and outside the beltway. Confirmed speakers include former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush; House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va.; Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.; Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla.; Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas; former Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C.; former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich; NRA president David Keene; NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre; and several others. The ACU claims CPAC is the largest annual gathering of conservatives in the country.

The conference is best known for its annual GOP presidential nomination straw poll, which Mitt Romney won last year. Former congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul won in 2010 and 2011.

Too funny! Mitt Romney a Conservative? And this is what they're best known for? Maybe if they throw the name "Tea Party" in front of the name "Republican" people will buy it.

Not!

Teabaggers can't get over losing the civil war and control over Blacks. That's why they are constantly refighting the civil war with President Obama. Him as president is a painful reminder of their military, legal and moral losses.

GOP-R You've got that all backwards. It was a Republican President who freed the slaves and a Republican President who helped rebuild the south. There is no moral loss except coming from the POTUS due to his lies, d**n lies and statistics that he makes up. He has zero integrity because he will tell the country that because of Congress and sequestration (which was his idea) that police and firefighters will lose their jobs. Since when does the Federal government hire and fire local police and firefighter employees? It's disgusting to me that he would have the nerve to continue stating that Benghazi was due to some stupid YouTube video weeks after the event when he knew the day after it happened that it was Al Quaeda. Another d**n lie. Let's not forget about Fast and Furious and where exactly are his college transcripts? If he's so transparent, why is he paying millions to keep them sealed?

Gov Jindal just stated that the Republican can not be the party of 'stupid', soon after Ms Palin was fired from Fox News. How can
any American take the GOP serious when you have Palin,Bauchmann,Gingrich,
Limbaugh all competing who is the loudest, dumbist, disrespectful, looney to
ever call themseleves a Republican. Jindal and Rove were the first Republicans to acknownledge that people view the party as dangerous and
heartless and need to change that view quickly, having Ms Palin speak for
them will certainly not solve their problem with the public.

Interesting post regarding intellect, it certainly would have had some relevance if you set a better example. Your spelling is atrocious, your facts are erroneous, and your failure to use proper english is no doubt a product of your brilliant Democrat party and its residence geniuses, Biden, Pelosi, Jesse Jackson Jr., Menendez, Lady Gaga, Rosie O'Donnell, and the 50% non-taxpayers that kept Obama from being shown the carpet.

Hallelujah just when we thought it was safe Sister Sarah is back banging away on her big old drum. The most important thing to remember about this woman is that she is not I repeat she is not a quitter. She reminded us all of that a couple of weeks back "I was raised to never retreat". Yes siree Jim-Bob no matter how dang hot it gets in that kitchen Sister Sarah will never retreat and never surrender. I think it is right kind and neighborly of Wasilla to have shared their very own village idiot with us and for McCain and the GOP to have given her a national stage to have shone so brightly on. She is the smartest GOP candidate since Dubya. I think it downright unkind of you all to have cast such rude and scurrilous aspersions on a woman of such obvious talent and virtue. Don't give up Sister Sarah we are behind you all the way one big push and you'll be the fairy crowning the GOP heap. Hit it Sister "Shall we gather in Wasilla the beautiful the beautiful Wasilla yes we'll gather in Wasilla ..... you all know the rest"

Oh yeah, and I guess we-need-to-pass-it-to-find-what's-in-it Paloosi is BRILIANT! YIKES! She's got bats in her bellfry, the old witch. The Dems have more nutjobs (Biden) and perverts (Wiener) than the conservatives could ever dream of having. And no, I'm talking about Repubs.
