Rubio PAC banks $119K from water bottle sales

Marco Rubio's "water bottle-gate" moment

A tiny water bottle may nearly have stolen the show from Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., during his remarks after President Obama's State of the Union last week, but his PAC is taking that minor embarrassment all the way to the bank.

Reclaim America PAC, Rubio's political action committee, has now sold over 4,000 water bottles with the Republican senator's name emblazoned on it, according to Terry Sullivan, a spokesman for the PAC. Sullivan says that comes out to $119,200 worth of donations as of this morning.

The PAC started hawking the water bottles for $25 or more last week, after Rubio took guff for what was mocked as an ill-timed water break during his live Republican response to Mr. Obama's annual address. Rubio, like his PAC a few days later, winked at the incident in its immediate aftermath, tweeting a picture of the water bottle minutes after he spoke.

"Send the liberal detractors a message that not only does Marco Rubio inspire you... he hydrates you too," reads an enticement for the water bottle on the PAC's website.

All you have to do is spend two minutes reading the comments here to realize this country is completely and utterly LOST.

The economy is in shambles, we are $16T in debt and the left wants to use a guy sipping water to disqualify him from being a Presidential contender yet has not ONE thing of substance to say.

Romney lost an election because of Big Bird, Binders and Propaganda, not on issues.

romney was too successful, wealthy, and a self-made man.
funny thing is john kerry has more money than romney, married that hag for her money, and tried to skate the sales tax on his $6M yacht. but nobody has a problem with that.

actually ... it's more likely his 47% comment ... which was at the core of his belief ... which appeared to be as pliable as play dough.

he treated the pursuit of the presidency like an arbitrage deal ... taking whatever position best suited him in the negotiation ... which clearly didn't work so well in the political circle.

[Only a rabid Obamabot would equate people dying to getting a drink of water.]

only a self serving republican claiming to be a conservative would be exploiting the deaths of four people to score political points against their adversary.

The only people that have made Rubio a presidential candidate are the media. I have been a republican my entire 66 years, and I don't think he is anything but a RINO. 2016 should not even be on the table until the economy comes back, the illegals are sent back, obamacare is set back.

I watched Rubio after the President's speech the other night(I like to keep an eye on what the enemy is doing.) He was hilarious! If this is the best the Republicans have to offer, they are once again in deep do do. Teabaggers are all the same no matter what age they are. Dumb and dumber.
