Rubio trying to capitalize on water bottle bungle

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., made news Tuesday night with his now-infamous "water bottle moment" - but now the Republican lawmaker is trying to capitalize on the minor embarrassment by hawking water bottles emblazoned with his name.

Rubio's Reclaim America political action committee is sending Rubio-labeled water bottles to those who donate $25 or more.

"Send the liberal detractors a message that not only does Marco Rubio inspire you... he hydrates you too," reads an enticement for the water bottle on the PAC's website.

During his response to President Obama's State of the Union address, the rising Republican star paused in the middle of a thought to take an awkward, ill-timed sip of water, nearly stepping out of the camera's frame while reaching for a tiny bottle of Poland Spring. Almost immediately after speaking, Rubio tweeted a self-effacing remark about the water break, but that didn't curb a full day of post-game onversation about the incident, which was widely mocked on Twitter and cable news. (CNN, previewing a segment on the bungle, put up a chyron speculating: "CAREER ENDER?", which was ridiculed in its own right.)

The NBC team of networks showed the clip over 150 times. If you can not find anything in the rebuttal to talk about, because it was dead on, you distract the dimwitted with stupid stuff. Way to go MSDNC!! Hopefully, this will a dead issue very soon.

It's always interesting when facts come along - a person with an opinion is no match for one with facts.
OFFICIAL 2012 PRESIDENTIAL GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS
http://www.fec.gov/pubrec/fe2012/2012presgeresults.pdf
Obama 65,899,660 51.06%
Romney 60,932,152 47.21%

And the opinions indicate people think he won by a landslide and has a mandate.

Now, since Romney was such slug and scumbag (according to Dems), if he can come this close just imagine what the next candidate can do.

What about Obama chewing Nicotine gum during the prayer breakfast. What about Obama blaming an internet film for the four deaths of Americans in Benghazi at the UN 3 weeks after the fact.

As Obama says we live in the greatest nation in the world. Then he says help me change it. I am a registered democrat, but this man is bad for America. Listen to his speeches and read his books if you can read.

Amazing the country is in the toilet and all the mainstream media cares about is this guy drinking a bottle of water during a speech. They are so in bed with the Dems it is not even funny.

You obviously did not watch the speech if you think it was only about a water bottle. The guy was nervous and looked like an amateur. His face was sweating and he repeatedly wiped his face with his hand, including repeatedly wiping spit from the corners of his mouth. Anchor Baby Rubio is NOT ready to run with the big dawgs.

Is the water in Florida so bad people have to drink bottled water? Did he buy that bottled water from a plant in Florida in effort to keep them working?

Yeah the irony. He was attacking Obama for worrying about clean water in our rivers and then he takes a sip of BOTTLED water as if to prove Obama was right. Hilarious.

Tea Party Garbage? You really show your ignorance here. Do you belong to the Tea Party? Have you ever been to one? Do you have a freakin CLUE about what the Tea Party is really about or do you just listen to Mathews and Maddow spew their left wing garbage at you all day while you nod your head. The tea party is the belief that we can take care of ourselves and that there should be limited Government. The Tea Party is of the belief that no body should spend more than it takes in creating debt for future generations. Maybe you think it would be wise to spend like a country ***** in your own household and leave that debt for your kids to deal with after you die? Its the same principle. The tea party believes in personal liberty and freedom. The tea party believes in the nature of the constitution and not perverting it or ignoring it as it IS the law of the land that precedes all and there is a process to modify the constitution or otherwise it must be adhered to. Fiscal responsibility, fiscal sanity, personal responsibility and limited government. That is what the Tea Party is about. It does NOT spew racial garbage nor does it feel it should bully people or any other nonsense that the new media's portray us as. Anything other than what I have listed is NOT a part of the 'Tea Party Agenda' and until you dig deeply into its roots and spend time at the events you should really cap your lips about it. There isn't one thing that is Garbage in the message or belief of the Tea Party.

it's funny, CBS runs stories on rubio drinking water and bohener blowing a kiss but don't say anything about menendez and underage dominican prostitutes, our gifting to the egyptian muslim brotherhood F-16's and Abrams tanks, that we've sent 3,000 troops BACK into iraq, that we're sending US troops into 35 African countries, zip, zero, zilch on the security leak hearings, nothing on the 102 year old fraud at the sotu address, not even a fact check of obama's speech -- but drinking water and blowing a kiss - on valentine's day no less - is big news. What a freaken joke. Then CBS trots out the resident obama polyps john dickerson, brian montopoli, stephanie condon, steve kroft and bob schieffer for a circle droolfest.
