Michelle Obama to attend funeral of Chicago teen who performed at inauguration

Hadiya Pendleton
First Lady Michelle Obama will head to Chicago on Saturday to attend the funeral of Hadiya Pendleton, the teenage girl who was slain last month just days after performing in the presidential inauguration activities, a White House official told CBS News.
Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will also attend, according to the official.
Pendleton, who was 15, was shot to death at a Chicago park on January 29. She was a majorette with the King College Prep High School band, which performed at several inaugural events eight days earlier.

You're right and it doesn't matter whether it's this president or any other president!! It is ludicrous. There are about 32 Homicides a day in the US. Why is this one more important than the rest? When they spend our tax money for nothing more than political style points, that my dear "oldbroad" is what is "ludicrous"!!!
There's just no pleasing you haters.
However, this means we must now ask the deeper questions and what can or will be done. Which leads to inevitable, misconceived accusations of others being "socialist", "communist", or whatever else... meanwhile the violence continues and those pulling the strings are probably laughing the loudest, assuming there are strings being pulled - which I doubt and for reasons I'm not going to specify right now because I'm not obligated to.
*sigh*
I wonder if she will be staying for the funerals of the other 49 people killed in homicides so far this year in Chicago???
