On heels of Letterman interview, Christie quizzed about weight, again

Gov. Chris Christie yukked it up with CBS "Late Show" host David Letterman Monday night, where the thrust of their conversation focused on Christie's weight - a topic that Christie was direct and plenty humorous about, as evidenced by the jelly donut he whipped out at the beginning of their conversation.
Less than 24 hours later, during a press conference about superstorm Sandy recovery efforts in Union Beach, N.J., a reporter followed up on Letterman's line of questioning, asking Christie about his girth and its effect on his ability to do his job.
"I'm making the best effort I can. And sometimes I'm successful, and other times I'm not," Christie responded, referring to his attempts at weight loss. "And sometimes periods of great success are followed by periods of great failure. And so that's just the way it's worked for me for probably the last 30 years of my life."
"I know people have concerns, but as I said to David last night on the show, so far, up to 50 years old, I've been remarkably healthy. And my doctor continues to warn me that my luck is going to run out relatively soon, so believe me it's something that I've very conscious of," he continued.
"[I]n terms of people in the state being concerned about whether or not it prevents me from being able to do my job effectively, I think they've seen the results of that.
"I'm not going to be overly self-consumed about this," Christie added. "And nor should the people of the state be all that concerned about whether I can do my job."

I'm a dyed in the wool Democrat and I say leave Christie alone. The guy won his election fair and square, unlike the liars who stole the 2000 election, and we live in the age of the TV Camera, the American people want their Presidents to be photogenic, and as long as Christie is fat, he does not have a snowball's chance in hell of becoming President
If you aren't willing to fight Christie on his policies, and all you have in your arsenal is fat jokes, then what are you going to do if he ever gets serious and slims down?
hey, Christie, stop eating cakes, bagel, donuts, breads or anything that is sugary or can turn into sugar easily, and become a vegetarian to save yourself from heart attack or diabetes!
He's content to be a fat tub of lard.
His Chair and other things he sits on or in are concerned.
