They don't want to take their country back. They just want to leave it behind.
As the dust settles in the wake of President Obama's decisive reelection last Tuesday, the White House petition website has been flooded by a series of secession requests, with malcontents from New Jersey to North Dakota submitting petitions to allow their states to withdraw from the union.
Most of the petitions submitted thus far have come from solidly conservative states, including most of the Deep South and reliably separatist Texas. But a handful come from the heart of blue America - relatively progressive enclaves like Oregon and New York.
All told, petitions have been filed on behalf of 20 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
Many of the petitions invoke the Declaration of Independence's dramatic assertion that "Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and institute new Government."
The petitions have been submitted through the White House's "We the People" website, which aims to give "all Americans a way to engage their government on the issues that matter to them." The White House promises that "If a petition meets the signature threshold, it will be reviewed by the Administration and we will issue a response." The threshold is 25,000 signatures in 30 days and, at the time of this article's publication, none of the secession petitions have reached the threshold (the Texas petition has received over 22,000 and needs to hit 25,000 by Dec. 9; Louisiana, with just under 15,000 signatures, needs to hit the threshold by Dec. 7.)
For some of the states represented, the secession requests are nothing novel: South Carolina, the state whose 1860 secession sparked the civil war, is hardly an unlikely locus of conservative angst in response to Mr. Obama's victory.
And in Texas, which still conceives of itself as a "republic," not a mere "state," politicians seem to make an almost annual show of flirting with secession, periodically dropping dark hints that Washington's chicanery may force the Lone Star state to flee the Union.
After repeatedly nodding at the possibility of secession in the last few years, Gov. Rick Perry, R-Tex., has more recently kept mum on the subject. But some local GOP officials in Texas have been happy to fill the void: Tom Head, a county judge from Lubbock predicted in August that Obama's reelection could lead to a second civil war. And the treasurer of the Hardin County Republican Party, Peter Morrison, asked in a post-election newsletter, "Why should Vermont and Texas live under the same government?" Morrison's newsletter requested an "amicable divorce" from the "maggots" who reelected President Obama, many of them voting on an "ethnic basis."
The Texas petition assails the federal government's "neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending," arguing that "it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it's citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government."
But some political officials in the states involved are not so eager to hop onboard the secession bandwagon, post-election angst or not. Morrison's boss, Hardin County GOP Chairman Kent Batman, explained, "People around here are asking why Texas is so different from the rest of the country, why we see things so differently...but I don't think a lot of people here are saying we ought to leave the Union."
Asked about Morrison's newsletter comments, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Batman sighed and replied, "Wow...OK, well, I guess I need to start taking a look at his newsletters."

Spain is not a federation, but a highly decentralized[5][6] unitary state,[2] that has devolved power to the communities, which in turn, exercise their right to self-government within the limits set forth in the constitution.
The state of Kentucky is a commonwealth. What is common about the wealth? It is an autonomy of wealthy citizens wielding economic, educational and social power. Always has been that way in every state in the union. So what is going to change all this?
Organizing after the fall. The financial basis of America is simply a printing press. That solution is not an answer. The country is poised for a dramatic failure. Other countries are dumping US Dollars. The USA has zero backing for the dollar. Taxes cannot sustain the 17 Trillion dollar debt. Taxes cannot sustain the the next 24 mos. Of interest on that debt, 34 Trillion is unmanageable by any known financial means. The country will be taken over by military law. The power remains the same just a different name - military. People who are in charge of the military? Social elite, educated, wealthy families rearing Rear Admirals and Captains and Generals. Same game. Different name. And thugs. The military is rife with thugs in uniforms.
The National Guard is a good standard of what the Kentucky Volunteer Militia can do with enough volunteer citizen power. Exchange for food and goods would be the currency of trade. Manufacture of guns and weapons is another potential business.
Electricians can run power plants. Plumbers can run municipal water plants. People can run their own lives without the government just fine. Construction workers can repair bridges and roads just fine. Homes can be built and cars can be repaired and sold and maintained without the need for government. Security. Who guarantees social balance? Not police, not judges, not jails ... social balance is an action between power, needs and wants.
The most important needs are survival water, clothes, shelter and food. Those can be supplied for every living human being through barter, trade and commerce. Without currency. Without Interest rates and robber barron lending.
Will America survive? I dont know, but Kentucky can. Innovative survival plan requires Individual recognition of the problem. Steps One and Two require stabilizing terror and panic. Step three is to declare the Kentucky territory as autonomous. Keep your federal money, army and politics. We have seen its doing and it is not doing well.
Step Four is deciding what are our natural resources? What is coal, ginseng and minerals worth in the world of business and barter. What does currency mean in the world of collapse. Currency is worth whatever it is backed with. One thing is good faith. If the community bases it currency on corn then another must trust it can produce corn. On a regular and dependable basis. What is the currency of Kentucky? Coal may be the first choice, but look at its history and it is not a clean nor pleasant history.
Kentucky is rich in minerals, jasper and semi precious stones. Kentucky has the ability to produce wine and much of its land is not fertilized to death. Yet. Soon but not this minute. The ability to survive will depend on farmers in Kentucky. Those willing to farm without the brain-washed fertilizing, overgrowing the land ability to naturally produce no-till corn, sorghum and hemp crops.
Kentucky is rich in roads. Needing repair and rebuilding. But Kentucky is a commerce traffic hub.
Kentucky has rails. RJ Corman is the third largest small rail in the nation.
Kentucky has the sunfall almost equal to sunny florida. We have huge solar power potential.
Kentucky is rich in water. Water that has long been polluted with ag runoff, mining and industry. Stop it.
Kentucky may Maybe clean up its water sources and enjoy drinking pure water again.
Kentucky is rich in ability to manufacture from simple means. Hemp will save the many agriculture industries and nobody can produce it like Kentucky. We supplied WW1 ships and war supplies with hemp rope.
Kentucky should avoid gambling and its lineage at all costs. Horse racing is one thing and trying to shore up a failing economy with Lottery money is insane.
Kentucky is rich in personality. People who can manage enough common sense to create their own governing. Lets start thinking about a new Kentucky. Lets start thinking. Lets start.

In order for the Federal government to print currency, it requires them to obtcreate debt based on a leveraged debt.
First off the Federal government must first create an asset, they then leverage that asset based on a persons expected GDP, over their lifetime.
The asset obtained is first secured by a certificate of Birth, this is defined under the UCC (derived from the law merchants code, which was based off of Admirality law), and is a "Financial Instrument".
The original birth certificate aka financial instrument, is sent to the Department of Vital statistics, whereas they re-print the persons name in all capital letters, this creates an image of the real person, but that image is created as a corporation.
The corporate certificate is then sent to the U.S Treasury, the Treasury then sets an x-amount of value of that person expected to make over their lifetime, and their contributions to the national GDP, the amount set is based on the Federal min wage, but they also use numbers and percentages based on how many will become millionairs, and billionairs over their lifetime, so a percentage of the population have a higher value set for their certificate, once the Treasury sets the amount, they issue those securities, bonds etc. to be made available to investors around the world, whom then buy them.
Once issued the Treasury then tells the Independent bankers running the Federal Reserve to print up that x-amount of currency.
The Federal Reserve then receives payment for the actual cost of printing the bills, plus 4% of the face value of the bill.
The Federal Reserve then sets the prime interest rate, of which the Federal Government gets a percentage of the prime interest collected and is used to buy back the matured securities, they collect prime interest off of monies that are created based on no assets.
The Federal Reserve member banks for example loans out those monies, in which a bank receives let's say $1 million, the bank may then loan out up to nine times their deposit, so that $1 million allows the bank to loan out $9 million, $8 of which is merely written in the books.
Nevertheless the Federal Reserve, and the Federal Government via the U.S Treasury, still collects the prime interest rate off of the created money that isn't in circulation (this is a means to control the amount of currency in circulation, too much money and the value goes down as prices climb, not enough currency and the prices drop, but no buyers, inflation and deflation.
What has happened however is there were far too many people hoarding vast amounts of real currency not being circulated, people like Rob Walton that is pulling $2.4 Billion in real USD currency out of the national economy each year, in addition two other Walton family members receive the same amounts, so between just three people they are reducing the currency from circulation over $7 billion per year.
The 10 wealthiest people in the U.S hold nearly $1 trillion USD. that has alot of impact on a national economy.
Thus it required the U.S government to bailout wallstreet, since those hoarding the money weren't giving any of it up.
The banks were maxed out on their 9 x's, and the economy stagnated.
It's a domino's effect, the current economics cannot be sustained, when just a handful of people are holding so much wealth.
Therefor a State entered into a compact not a contract, the Constitutional contract would still apply even to States that withdraw.
In other words all aggreements entered into would still apply, however new Congressional bills passed by the Congress would only apply to member States.
Any changes to pre-existing laws would also not apply, unless those States acted on their own behalf to be represented, like the Indian nation has a representitive in the congress.
As far as the militia goes, it is incorrect to define the National Guard as the militia, since it is 100% fully funded by the Federal government and not the States, it is a foreign military body, and from a Constitutional standpoint, they can only exist within the boundaries of a State with the permission of the governor of that State allowing them to be present.
This is what outraged South Carolina prior to the civil war.
As an example Anderson acted within the law, so as long as he and his men were at a Federal fort, Moultrie, however once he took possession of Fort Sumter, in whicj ownership had long been reverted back to S.C (note the original contract between the Congress and South Carolina in regards to the ownership of Fort Sumter, that it had to be completed within 5 years, after which time ownership would revert back to S.C. it was never completed, and never once had any Federal troops stationed there, for over 30 years it sat empty.
S.C not once ever demanded Anderson and his men to leave Fort Moultrie, but in the night he set up residence in Fort Sumter, when Anderson was confronted, he was in reality being given notice of eviction, he refused to leave.
This lead to South Carolina opening fire on their own property.
The first shot fired was by a 16 year old Citadal cadet.
It is true property belonging to the Federal government would stay in control of the Federal government, however those properties in which acted for the supposed benefit of a member State would most likely be turned back over to the States, since the State would no longer have the benefit of the Federal services.
As far as Texas goes, they are in reality a "Republic", and in their original submission to the Union preserved their right to withdraw from the Union, which was also agreed to by the Federal member States when Texas was submitted.
The problem however with seccession, is that most don't realise that not only does it require State legislatures to vote nay/yea, but once this is done it must be submitted before the Congress, the majority of Congress must then vote yea/nay.
That means it would require at least 30 of the 50 States to vote "yea" for it to happen, however if there were to be 30 States to do so, then it would easily be done.
Just as the civil war, a new Union was attempted to be formed under the Confederacy, so those States wanted out of a heavily Northern influenced Union (going thru the industrial revolution), and form a Confederate Union, it made sense, geography plays a big part in persons view of things, just as liberal Cali should not control the interest of the Southern Bible belt, and New York's gun restrictions should not influence the Southern beleifs of the right to keep and bear arms.
As far as the States status, they would still remain a State in their own right, obtained under the 1783 Paris Peace Treaty.
States would be sovereign in their own right.
The problem that most States are having with the Union, is not so much the Union itself, but the Federal part of government, in which the central government has exceeded the powers delegated to them by the States under the Union.
They did this via legislative fiat.
In the 1770's there were a bunch of men who were called "tavern patriots"; they were big talkers when they were in the tavern tossing down some drinks, but they never accomplished anything for the cause of freedom. Today's secessionist talkers are a resurrection of the tavern patriots.
I for one didn't sign the petition ONLY because this country needs to be United, not fighting amoungst ourselves! But It Should make the citizens of this country stand up and remember we have already had one civil war and the first one had alot to do with race! Don't be stupid enough to think a second one couldn't happen!! By then it would be too late! This country has so many foreign enemies do you really think it would be that hard for them to Destroy this country if they were smart enough to take advantage of our internal issues!
