Warren wins Mass. Senate seat

Democrat Elizabeth Warren will beat incumbent Republican Scott Brown in the closely-watched Massachusetts Senate race, CBS News projects.

The race has been among the most costly and contentious of the cycle. 

Warren, a liberal favorite and consumer advocate, was tapped to challenge Brown after being passed over to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. But Brown, who who was elected with Tea Party support following the death of Sen. Ted Kennedy, was a popular figure in the state, and the two  were locked in a dead heat for months.

Following a handful of debates, however, Warren in the last months of the campaign appeared to open up a lead over her opponent.

Even more then reelection of our 44th president; the people of MA have given me hope. Once again they have stood up and DONE THE RIGHT THING; just like they did 1776.

What is sad is that most people don't have any idea of what "socialism" is. It's a bit like when I was growing up and any idea that the fat cats like J Edgar didn't like was branded "communist."

I notice the folks raging against this socialism haven't shown any great interest in disassemble social security, unemployment insurance, or workers compensation.

What we need to do is back off and look at individual ideas to see if they are beneficial. Where they come from doesn't really matter. The Interstate Highway System came from Hitler's government. Didn't stop us from filing off the serial numbers and claiming it as our own.
