WASHINGTON President Barack Obama on Saturday is gathering together top aides and state and local officials impacted by Superstorm Sandy as he continues to monitor the government's response to the weather disaster, the White House said.

Obama will convene a meeting with his team in the morning, to be joined by telephone by officials including Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Federal Emergency Management Administrator Craig Fugate, as well as other members of the Cabinet, also will participate.

Following the meetings, administration officials will visit storm-damaged communities throughout the affected region to view response efforts firsthand, and make sure necessary resources are being provided.

Pres. Obama looks very presidential when millions watched.
When he thought no one could watch (or could know), he
abandoned his Ambassador and Navy Seals to die in Benghazi.

Obama jumps in for his photo op then takes off. What about the people screaming for help? They are angry - no help has come - they have no food or water or heat. But there is no coverage of that because it will hurt your annointed one. There is no real news coverage anymore. If you doubt me do a little research and you will see the people hurting. This is Obama's Katrina.

I so enjoy watching Americans attack eachother. You hate your fellow countrymen far more than any enemy could ever hate you. The country is going down in flames with no chance of recovery and all you do is whine and complain and fight among yourselves.

This is not the first disaster we have had in the last 4 years! I don't recall Obama and his Mob Squad showing this mush concern before.

It must be that he has 3 more days till he is fired so he feels like he should at least show a little effort.

I'm glad President Obama is convening this meeting. If it were Romney, who could believe anything he'd say. Romney tells so many lies, his name should be changed to Pinocchio.
