Congressman's son resigns after voter fraud video

The field director for Virginia Democratic Rep. Jim Moran - his son Patrick Moran - has resigned after being secretly recorded seemingly advising a conservative journalist masquerading as a supporter that utility bills could be used to aid in voter fraud.

"Patrick is well liked and was a well-respected member of the campaign team. This incident, however, was clearly an error in judgment," said a statement from Moran for Congress. "The campaign has accepted Patrick's resignation, effective immediately."

The undercover video comes from Project Veritas, which is led by group James O'Keefe - the activist whose undercover videos have caused serious headaches for ACORN, NPR and other groups. It shows a Project Veritas "investigator" telling Patrick Moran that he has a friend who is seeking to "get in a van" and vote on behalf of about 100 people. Patrick Moran responds with skepticism, but is later shown saying the person voting on behalf of others could potentially use "utility bills or something like that."

"He'll need bills," says Moran. "He'll need something with the name and their address on it." He adds, "they can fake a utility bill with ease, you know?"

Moran later says the person would be better off participating in traditional get-out-the-vote efforts, but he goes on to have a conversation about how to forge documents.

In a press release, O'Keefe called the video "the most damning evidence to date of the scope of voter fraud in this country." Many states have passed laws in recent years, largely pushed by Republicans, designed to reduce voter fraud. Democrats note that there have been very few documented cases of voter fraud and say the laws are designed to suppress the vote among groups that traditionally support Democrats.

250,000 illegal immigrants voted in Florida for Obama this year. That's why Florida is still counting the vote. This election takes the "voting fraud" situation to what amounts to a Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme. Machines in all swing states were rigged to vote for Obama bin lyin no matter what.People were voting for Romney and it would go right to obama. They went way overboard and now it's obvious that's how obama got in again. Romney should have beaten him hands down.We should have Voter ID reform. Maybe all vote online with your social security number etc. Otherwise we just live in a communist state. What is the point of voting at all if this continues??

Funny business in Philly: GOP officials booted, Black Panthers return -- and Obama at polling site? Published November 06, 2012 | FoxNews.com

A Pennsylvania judge is issuing an order to reinstate Republican election officials across Philadelphia who allegedly were ejected or refused entry by on-site Democratic voting chief judges, GOP officials tell Fox News.

One Republican official claimed that "just under 70" Republican election officials were blocked from Philadelphia polling sites Tuesday morning by Democrats on site. One of them, the official claimed, "was shoved out of the polling place."

I guess we are going to have to start installing cameras at all voter locations. Apparently America has become so corrupt that we have to monitor everyone.

We now know what the Democrat ground game is: vote early and often, and why we desperately need voter ID laws to preserve voting integrity.

For many decades, well over 100 years, in my state of Louisiana, we enjoyed a one party system and the most corrupt politics that "money could buy." Dead people voted. Peoples' dogs voted. Violent threats were made and carried out. Democrats fought Democrats. "Community organizers" were paid large sums of money which they in turn distributed portions in small sums of money to voters. It was not uncommon to have hundreds of thousands of dollars spent for a local elected position that only paid $30K in actual salary (but untold amounts in kickbacks). A former governor of Louisiana just recently was let out of federal prison for such crimes.

A few years back I enjoyed a trip to Central Appalachia to work with volunteers among the beautiful rural people there. While there, I enjoyed an election in West Virginia. Pre-filled voter cards were handed out with a $10 bill, and another $10 bill was given to each voter when they came out of the voters booth.

Today, with more of a legitimate two party system in Louisiana, we have a cleaner government, and more choices. I would rather that than the one party system of only only the Democrat party and Democrat candidates who fought against the Voter's Rights Act, segregation of schools, and equal access to higher education, and other common sense laws.

Once again the pundits engage in massive amounts of humor, the leftists posting here enjoy bashing O'Keefe for his actions, and claim that the right is far worse in their fraud actions...BUT, I find it odd that O'Keefe is able to gather evidence on video, yet the left seems totally incapable of doing the same??? Why would that be? Perhaps becasue not all fo the fraud charges leveled by commenters here are factual? If the right is guilty, please present evidence, to do otherwise merely makes you appear to be whining becuase your guy got caught. As for teh character of Mr. Moran, the junior... His fathers is less than honorable and it seems that this is a case of "Like Father, Like Son."

With all The undercover videos from Project Veritas, which is led by group James O'Keefe, is it any wonder that O'Keefe hires "stand-ins" to portray charactors of his choosing. O'Keefe's agenda is obvious because he never catches republicans in his "undercover efforts". Why hasn't O'Keefe filmed the voter registration forms thrown in the garbarge by a republican supporter in Florida? O'Keefe is a lousy investigator!!!

You can't call him an 'investigator' since he starts out with a "premise" and then assembles bits of fact into a cohesive lie.

The irony of it all is that big and small or cheating to help the Gov. win. What is wrong with being a civil and fair human being. To be unfair in life isn't good for the body or soul it will haunt you in the end. If it is meant to be then it will be. So be it. Other races don't have a chance of cheating they get watched like a hawk. And fyi I am not a bigot. I love humans no matter what race, creed or color. President O'bama and Governor Romney is so handsome no respect to the wives.
