PHOENIX Republican Jeff Flake tried to tie Democratic Richard Carmona to President Barack Obama's policies during the first general-election debate for a U.S. Senate in Arizona.

In turn, Carmona charged in Wednesday's debate that Flake's opposition to special funding requests known as earmarks has hurt economic development.

Flake says Carmona is an "echo" of the Obama administration who believes that job creation is the job of the government, rather than private enterprise.

Carmona says business leaders have complained that Flake's opposition to earmarks for roads, public-works and water projects has hurt efforts to attract new businesses to Arizona.

Flake, Carmona and Libertarian Marc Victor are running for the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Jon Kyl.

Rep. Flake cannot compare to the mass of qualifications of Dr. Carmona. A Huffington Post article opened: "You couldn't make up the impressive biography of Richard Carmona of Tucson, Ariz. Hollywood would never buy it. But Carmona is real...."
Please listen to the dynamic list of qualifications in this video of Pres. Bill Clinton @ ASU -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGOhhyK_VZI

Wow...this reaches a new height of bias. Not only do they not even mention that Marc Victor was in the debate also, they go out of their way to use a pictures that blocks him completely. Yes the lamestream media can always be counted upon to not report the news, but try to manufacture it...pathetic!

Marc made the most sense in this debate, the other two simply pointed fingers at each other.

Go Marc!

I am the Tea Party Leader says:
Flake has proven himself to be a fiscal conservative that even will vote against his own party to keep the pork barrel spending under control. Carmona will be another lap dog for Harry Reid and play the liberal policy of tax and spend.

Funny how no republican supporter can cite ANY republican policy, bill/legislation that favors ordinary Americans over corporations, big oil, big pharma and the super rich. That questions has been asked for months and NO ONE HAS ANSWERED It YET
