Bill Clinton, Obama together again

(CBS News) Former President Bill Clinton will make another campaign stop for President Obama next week, CBS News has confirmed, co-headlining an event with the president just days within Mr. Obama's first debate face-off with Mitt Romney.

The two will appear together at a joint fundraiser in Los Angeles next Sunday, just a few days after the Wednesday debate. Also on Wednesday, Clinton will campaign for the president in New Hampshire.

In an email to supporters, the Obama campaign invites voters to enter a contest to win a flight out to the event. In order to enter the contest, voters are encouraged to contribute "$5 or whatever you can" to the campaign.

"Next week I'm meeting up with President Clinton on the campaign trail, and we both want to thank you in person. Donate $5 or whatever you can today to be automatically entered to fly out to join us," the fundraising email reads. "This Sunday is the biggest fundraising deadline of this campaign so far. There's no billionaire donor or lobbyist waiting around to write a $10 million check. How you respond right now determines if we move into the final stretch of this election with the resources we need, ready to close this out, or if we're struggling to keep up with the other side. And that's the way it's been from the beginning."

The Obama campaign has relied on a strong base of small donors throughout this campaign cycle - as well as in 2008 - and trails the Romney campaign in big-dollar donors. Yesterday, billionaire liberal philanthropist George Soros pledged to give $1 million to the pro-Obama super PAC "Priorities USA Action," however, making him the 17th million dollar donor to Priorities and at least the fourth billionaire to give to the group.

The pro-Romney Super PAC Restore Our Future, meanwhile, has at least 26 million donor donors and 25 billionaire givers.

Clinton, who made a splash with his well-reviewed performance at the Democratic National Convention, is known for his fundraising prowess.

Obama says he supports women, yet he is falling all over Clinton. I guess Obama doesn't think folks remember Bill Clinton lying that he didn't have sex with that women, a young intern no less at the White House. Clinton has no morals and disrespected his wife and family, yet Obama and the Dems think he should be someone women should respect, what hypocrisy.

Reading the posts I cannot believe how much anger and frustration is coming from the left. We are a nation that protects the religious freedoms of all Americans and all you have is bash Mormon this and bash Mormon that. Well i can tell you this much Bernie Madoff is a democrat and he was convicted of defrauding investors out of billions. john Corizine is another Democrat that misplaced 1 billion of investors monies and has yet to be arrested by the feds. John is also a big time contributor and fund raiser for the Obama re-election campaign so think hard before you call the kettle black in this case.

Obama is a so called christian that was raised muslum all his life, until he found Christianity through reverend Wright in the extreme streets of Illinois.

What i do not get is how Americans can sit back and watch this president dismantle the constitution one step at a time. Clinton passed many of the laws and Obama is dismantling them one at at time, such as the welfare reform and immigration. As he lectured the univision TV hosts that the office of the president is to enforce and execute the laws, not to create because that power is expressly reserved for congress. What we see over and over again is the twisting of the laws that even the GAO and the IG have said he was wrong in his rules bending.

All we get over and over again are angry extremest progressives that attack over and over again without facts.

Big Bill is an unstoppable force. He singlehandely turned this race in President Obama's favor with his clear and earnest "State of the Union" at the Democratic National Convention.

Romney looks like an amateur compared to Obama and Clinton. This race was over from the beginning.
