(AP) LOS ANGELES - Ann Romney says the election of her husband, a Mormon, would signal "that prejudices are left behind" just as the election of President Obama sent that signal.

The wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney tells "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno that she loves the fact that the nation elected its first African-American president.

Asked by Leno to reflect on the significance of the first Mormon president, Mrs. Romney said she hoped that if her husband were elected, "We would see more of the same, that prejudices are left behind."

The Romneys met in high school. Asked whether Mitt Romney was a good dancer back then, she tells Leno: "He's gotten to be a better dancer."

Mrs. Romney's appearance was taped for Tuesday's night Leno program.

Yes, it would cut down on the number of frothing at the mouth racists who can't stand having a black president. That much is obvious Anne. Thanks for playing.

I don't know about prejudices being left behind if Mitt Romney were to be elected President, but it would be safe to say intelligence had been.

Being a Mormon is not the real problem with Mitt, it's his elitist views, and lack of understanding how the average American faces day in and day out. Things like very low wages, no job, no home (anymore) and having lost your retirement savings to wall street crooks. Mitt has not addressed any of these problems and he never will. And the lies that he has told, and continues to tell. The only candidate that told more lies than Mitt in this campaign is Ryan.

Other than his wife, who's upset that Mitt's a Mormon. He got the nomination from the GOP which still wants to oust the first black president simply because of his skin color.

There has been little over opposition to Mitt as a Mormon. What is she talking about? The major problem with him is:
Loony tune flipping. Just today he etched a sketched middle class tax cuts. What will tomorrow bring? He must be a hologram or maybe just that plastic groom on top of the wedding cake. He cannot be real.
