Poll: Obama leads Romney, 39 percent say country is worse off than four years ago

(CBS News) With the parties' conventions over and Election Day just weeks away, President Barack Obama has a three-point edge over Republican Mitt Romney among likely voters nationwide in the latest CBS News/New York Times poll.
Forty-nine percent of likely voters said they'll vote for Mr. Obama, 46 percent said Romney and 4 percent said they're undecided in the poll conducted from Sept. 8-12.
This is the first national poll in which CBS News and the New York Times have measured the presidential race among likely voters. The measure for likely voters takes into account voters' reported intent to vote, voting history and other factors that historically affect an individual's decision to vote.
President Obama has a wider lead over Romney among the broader group of registered voters nationwide. 51 percent say they'll vote for Mr. Obama (the first time he is above the 50 percent mark), while 43 percent choose Romney. Heading into the parties' conventions, the President and Romney were neck and neck among registered voters.
There is some room for movement in the presidential race - but not very much. Eighty-six percent of likely voters who back a candidate say their minds are made up, while just 13 percent say it's too early and their minds could still change. Similar percentages of Obama and Romney voters could change their minds.

2. How businesses prosper? Business prospers when their products and services are in demands. Business typically prospers in environment of low land costs, low labor costs, low energy costs, low taxation, etc.
3. How bubbles are created? Bubbles are typically created by easy monetary policy and easy credit.
4. How banking crisis are created? Banks typically use assets as collateral. When assets are in bubble, bank makes loan without enough backing. Also banks adopt loose lending policies to businesses and individuals.
5. What's the downside of money printing? Money printing promotes unfair wealth transfer, borrowing, speculation and moral hazard, while discourages hard working and saving.
6. What's the unintended consequence of government guarantee? The government guarantee makes risks of deposit, investment, artificially equal, thus promotes return chasing at the cost of more risk taking.
7. How to solve the too big to fail problem? Too big to fail simply means too big. We need incentives to break them down. Bailing out banks simply did the opposite. We should wipe out creditors' value rather than using tax payers' money.
8. Why big government is never the answer? Market economy is more efficient in allocating resources.
9. Why Obama is not qualified as President? He lacks basic understanding of how business and economy work. He doesn't understand priorities and urgency in managing the economy. He over-emphasizes green energy and education. In Chinese, we say far water can't save the close fire.
10. How a country prospers? Hopefully it prospers when households, companies, states and locals, and federal are in good financial conditions.
In conclusion, Romney understands how to generate economic growth, create jobs, balance budgets, get rid of Bernanke's money printing, and consolidating government. He is the man who can turn US around and make US prosper again for generations to come!
