(AP) TROY, Ohio - Protesters shouted throughout Mitt Romney's campaign appearance in Ohio with House Speaker John Boehner.

Romney on Sunday gave an abbreviated campaign speech from the bed of a pickup truck in Boehner's hometown of Troy. A small but noisy group of protestors shouted throughout his speech, which lasted about six minutes. The protesters shouted, "Romney go home!"

A group of Romney staffers moved a set of speakers into the middle of the group of protesters to try to drown them out in return. The group had gone through regular security, and no staffers or security attempted to remove them from the event area.

The stop in Troy was Romney's third in Ohio.

"50% of American people pay taxes"

Ridiculous lie. You can't even buy a stick of gum without paying taxes.
_____________________________________
It is well known, actor, that around half of Americans who submit a tax return with at least $1 of positive AGI pay little or no taxes, and by little, I mean little - less then 3% of income, and most of that bottom 50% don't pay anything in Federal taxes. The number o returns falling in this bracket numbers about 140 million, as recently as 2010.

The entire argument about everyone paying their fair share is 1) based strictly on Wealth Envy and 2) always centered on Federal Taxes paid and nothing more. Sales tax (and Property, State and Local tax) has never been part of the argument. But if it was, it would show the rich contributing even more to paying for the free stuff government hands out to the poor.

Just because some facts don't support your view point does not necessarily make them a lie. They just don't support your argument is all.

Well, if you know how to read, perform basic math and go to the IRS website, you can look up summaries of a year's total returns, plus some statistical analysis. The number of returns filed in recent years is around 140 million, with around half that falling in the bottom 50% (obviously).

Not knowing how to find or read the information doesn't make you a complete idiot, because it does require a certain amount of intelligence, but ignoring it just to allow yourself to adhere to a bogus argument is pretty dumb.

What you're looking for on the IRS website is the SOI Tax Stats. I've posted it a couple times how to find the reports. You apparently haven't been paying attention.

Liberals only respect the freedoms of speech and assembly when it applies to them and no opposing or dissenting viewpoint or opinion. Doing this didn't serve their own cause. It merely reinforced that they are a bunch of spineless, weak, immature kids throwing a tantrum.

The protesters should be shouting at Obama. He just issued a Presidential decree, it allows illegals to get work permits. Obama knows full well there are no jobs. The unemployed can't find work, the college grads can't find work and unemployment amongst high school students is off the charts. His decree is a political stunt and a cruel one at that.

Nice that the story failed to say who these people were or what their particular beef with Rmney was. They might be mad at Bohner too for his stupid obstruction that has delayed a ereal recovery. For all we know the Romney camp may have hired them to provide fodder for anti-Obama retoric on Faux entertainment network. Does anyone beieve that would be beyond the vulture?

Hearing anything else from either Romney or Obama is getting redundant. Same old BS and same old 'kicking a dead horse'.
I already know what both of em stand for and have already made my choice.

What upsets me is that both partys are too extreme, Obama went too far to the left to appease a subculture, complicated the immigration issue, got into a running legal fight with the Catholic Church and Romney has proven he will lie through his teeth about just anything and, in general, has gone way too far to the right.

Once again, no balance, no hope for bipartisan compromise and cooperation, more partisanship is coming regardless of who wins. Nothing will get done in this continued atmosphere of congressional gridlock, the people's business will, once again, not be served...or will be misserved and the results will be even more dispicable.

What hurts most is that the U.S. needed an honorable veteran candidate to run in 2012, someone we could be proud of and you would think we might had been able to find one this election cycle in the midst of two wars overseas and another brewing here at home (oh yes, this can happen at the rate we're going)...

We needed a military veteran for President who has served his country well and understands the hazards of wars and one who can't be 'swiftboated' by conservatives with political agendas (or liberal) veterans and right-wing (or left) interests by virtue of a good standing record of service.

Colin Powell comes to mind (but he is too white for blacks and too black for whites, or some such nonsense) or perhaps some such other honorably discharged veteran that distinguished himself/herself, someone that America can take pride in is what we're missing these days. Looks like another 4 to 8 years more before we see anything of the like.

Racism has reared up it's ugly head again and we're seeing evidence of this in the usual trouble spots and regions of the country as well as a few new ones...and by some I would have never previously expected.

Rude is the order of the day as politics and driving in heavy traffic goes. Rude, Crude, awful displays of some of the most 'bottom of the well' and worst displays of it I have ever seen or witnessed in this nation in my over 50 years of life in these United States and certaintly I will not reside in any area of the country for very long where so much of this is going on.

No respect = arrogance = anger = violence.

Romney's problems with protestors and the subsequent replies I have read on this bbd about this no civility problem running rampant and a total lack of courtesy all around is ample proof of it all.

I'll vote...oh yeau...but I'm staying away from large crowds, especially political crowds.

BAHHHH...

Does Obama have more than one speech, if so why does he not use it?

democrats are good at heckling, protesting anyone who dares to run against their sacred obama. wonder if obama campaign pays these protestors to show up and be disruptive. obama or romney should be heard by those who support them while those who don't should picket peacefully. both men deserve to be heard because the nation is made up of some 300+ million population and not all are supporters of either man.

I do not agree with Mr. Romney nor Speaker Boehner. But unlike them I will fight to death for their right to say what they want to say. Unlike them I have a DD-214 that say I am willing to do that. The basic problem with our political system today is that it is based upon party ideology and not constructive dialog. This Country is in deep Ka-ka
