How was this poll conducted? If it was via landline phone calls, one can assume the results are very skewed. The biggest clue (to me) is how Santorum leads the female vote from the respondents' responses, that is.
I suspect the pollsters did not reach those female (and male) voters who were at work with their cell phones, who have given up their landlines, etc.
"Dewey Defeats Truman" was the result of a telephone poll - the same problem, albeit for different reasons, was at the crux of this error, i.e., most of the working folks did not have landlines at all! Now they either do not have them or they are inaccessible because they are at work.
