Ron Paul has gained 83 votes on Mitt Romney following a Republican presidential caucus in eastern Maine, where voting last week had been postponed due to bad weather. Romney still holds a 156-vote lead over Paul in statewide totals.
Paul received 163 votes in Saturday's Washington County caucus, where Republicans from more than two dozen towns gathered to cast their votes. Romney received 80 votes. Rick Santorum got 57 votes and Newt Gingrich received four votes.
The Maine Republican Party last week declared Romney the winner of the state's GOP caucuses, but Washington County Republicans were angered their votes weren't counted after their caucus was postponed last Saturday because of a snowstorm.
County Chairman Chris Gardner says the state party should include the caucus tally in the final results.
The Republican State Committee will consider the request next month.

You laughed and cheered when the GOP took away the rights of Union workers to bargain and vote on their contracts.
You acted outraged when Florida tried to recount the votes in 2000 and forced them to stop counting.
You attacked gays who just wanted to be left alone.
You went out of your way to pass voter ID laws to DisEnfranchise poor people, old people and minorities.
Now when the GOP tells you to shut up and accept their vote totals, you can't beleive they would treat you that way.
Duh
Maybe you should just quit acting like propper little GOP SHEEP.
You're bankrupt, broke and still want to fight. You don't even know where your real terrorists are. Look at the other candidates and ask yourself... 'Would they take a backdoor cheque?' You bet they would. Just another puppet like Obama.
Ron Paul - the prophet. Wake the people !!!

As for you guys holding out hope for him, you apparently have no regard for the American public. I can assure you they know they don't need this guy.
Not to mention the mainstream media and all the corrupted politicians who are in bed with Wall Street thugs! Meanwhile our true Countrymen...also known as: Army, Navy, Marines, Airforce, & National Guard....are getting their legs blown off & losing their lives, so the corrupt can have a bigger bank account. My friends and neighbors here in Praire Grove, AR say.....RON PAUL OR NOTHING AT ALL!!!!!!!!

I've copied below a message from grassroots organizer Jun Dam of the website www.RP2012.org, with details on this as well as continuing plans to help Ron Paul overcome the GOP establishment's manipulations and the media's dismissiveness.
The rEVOLution continues!

"It was a tough struggle and we came up short of our high-reaching goal. The tally in Washington County was: Paul 163, Romney 80, Santorum 57, Gingrich 4
The current vote tally according to the Bangor Daily News is: 2,381 Romney vs. 2,264 for Paul (117 Vote Difference)
To give everyone some perspective in 2008 Ron Paul only received 8 out of 113 votes in Washington County. This time around he received 163 out of 304. That is an impressive difference. Thank you for those that made the calls, gave us the great leads, those on the ground in Maine and everyone who helped organize this effort. It was great to be in the battle with everyone involved. It was a great strategic effort from the grassroots and we were really going for the huge boost and our first state win, but alas it was not to be on that day. These have been trying times for us grassroots volunteers. The media, the GOP corruption, and the fraud all takes a toll. We've had much adversity, but let's move forward better, stronger and improved. A great measure of a man is the ability to get beaten down and fail many times, but be able to get back up to win and succeed.

Some opportunity still remains in Maine:
The War in Maine Continues, but Only A Few Opportunities Remain to Win the Vote:
There is small college town of Castine yet to vote with a population of 1,113 which presents opportunity. Some other towns that have not had a caucus can still set one up. From a Daily Paul post: "There are rumors that the towns in Penobscott (like Winn, Staceyville, Springfield, etc - 400+ total population each.) may rise up and now caucus." I still think those in Maine can continue to fight and make up the 117 vote difference and we may assist where needed. I think the best way to win the remaining votes is to get a boots on the ground and hold rallies and events on the day of the caucus. It may be good to hold community gatherings/free breakfasts and caucus for Ron Paul. Lastly, Ron Paul will be strong for the delegates in Maine and that will be fought at the upcoming conventions.
Our next strategic opportunity for the grassroots: Washington (this time the State, not the county)
The next strategic effort for Grassroots for Liberty is the state of Washington. We are a relatively small group, but we are nimble, skilled and growing in numbers. We can strike the most powerful of opponents precisely where we need to help Ron Paul win this nomination. John Wahl brought up Washington state in our conversation and I'm convinced this is the next big strategic opportunity. Washington has a population of 6.8 million, has an open caucus, and Ron Paul received 21% of the vote in the 2008 caucus with only 12,000+ participating. The kicker? It's right before Super Tuesday. This can be our first big win. We will work to get voter lists, prepare ID calls and have a new and improved GOTV effort to make sure we win. We will keep everyone informed about our effort. The official campaign already has IDs and leads, but we will run an entirely separate grassroots operation from soup to nuts...
Anyways, thanks again so much for your effort!"
